LEGO Super Mario 64 Block

The LEGO Super Mario line is continuing with LEGO Super Mario 64 ? Block as its latest addition, the LEGO Group and Nintendo announced today. It will launch on October 1.

The LEGO Super Mario 64 ? Block is based on the classic N64 game and features a large brick-built ? Block that opens to reveal four levels: Peach’s Castle, Bob-omb Battlefield, Cool, Cool Mountain and Lethal Lava Trouble. The brick-built ? Block has 2,064-pieces, and there are various microfigures including Mario, Princess Peach, and King Bob-omb, as well as a Chain Chomp, Big Bully, Mr. I, Lakitu, penguin, baby penguin, and more.

Gearshifters

Back in April, we first reported on Gearshifters, an arcade-action shoot ’em-up rogue-lite. Publisher Numskull Games and developer Red Phantom Games have since shared some additional news, and it’s looking like we’ll be seeing it pretty soon.

Gearshifters has popped up on the European eShop, and if that’s correct, the game is apparently dropping on September 23. A physical version is also planned. Numskull Games has officially gone on the record to confirm an October launch, so one possibility is that the digital version will come before the physical release.

My Time at Portia update

My Time at Portia players on Switch now have access to a major update. Team17 and Pathea Games are calling it version 3.0.0, but it should show up as version 1.0.8 on your system.

There’s a lot new here between quests, Mason as a new NPC, new levels at the Deepest Ruin, and more. That’s on top of a ton of fixes as well.

Metroid Dread pre-order bonus

Metroid Dread fans may be interested in a new pre-order bonus being offered through Walmart. If you reserve the game, you’ll receive a mug with key art from the game. You can see what it looks like above.

This isn’t the only pre-order bonus we’ve heard about for Metroid Dread. Back in July, GameStop’s extra was shown to be a pin set. Additionally, for those in the UK, the Nintendo store has been offering a keyring, poster, and sticker sheet.

UnMetal

The 2D stealth action adventure game UnMetal is heading to Switch this month, publisher Versus Evil and developer Unepic_Fran announced today. A release is planned for September 28.

Ultimate Chicken Horse "Hippo-Party-Plus" update

Clever Endeavour Games today unveiled a major patch for Ultimate Chicken Horse known as the “Hippo-Party-Plus” update, and it’s going live on September 20. It comes with Hippopotamus as a new character, Triceratops alternate skin, Rollercoaster level, and four new outfits: Floatie (Hippo), Cowboy Boots (Hippo), Balloon (Hippo) Jockey Outfit (Horse). That’s on top of the regular bug fixes.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl spongebob Leonardo Patrick Lucy

Thanks to IGN, we have a number of new gameplay videos for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl that provides a closer look at SpongeBob, Leonardo, April, Patrick, CatDog, Lucy, and Nigel.

The first video shows general gameplay with insight from developer Ludosity. Next up is a four-player match for SpongeBob vs. Leonardo vs. April vs. Patrick. CatDog vs. Lucy is next, with April vs. Nigel closing things out.
