Nintendo Switch

Polygon is reporting that Nintendo of America filed a lawsuit today against an Amazon Switch hack reseller, Le Hoang Minh. The company says its copyright measures have been circumvented in selling an RCM Loader as a means to “jailbreak” the system.

Nintendo previously sent a DMCA notice in hopes of initially dealing with the situation. After that, the seller issued a counterclaim. Amazon was required to relist the RCM Loader as a result unless Nintendo filed an infringement lawsuit. Nintendo now wants to stop the seller and receive $2,500 in damages for each infringement.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

With over 26 million copies sold since its March launch, it’s safe to say that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a hit. However, the game has gone beyond simply being an experience for players to manage their islands and connect with friends. Businesses and organizations have started to take interest, and it’s something Nintendo has now become fully aware of.

Today, Nintendo posted usage guidelines for businesses and organizations in how they get involved with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It forbids certain actions like using the game inappropriately, featuring politics, or obtaining financial benefit.

Sinnoh in Super Mario Galaxy

Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl have entered the world of Super Mario Galaxy in a rather interesting way. Modder
RiazorMC has ported the Sinnoh map over to the Wii game, complete with the towns and routes the region is known for. Twinleaf Town, the entrance to the Pokemon League, and more are all accounted for. You can even swim in the proper areas.

This is still ultimately Super Mario Galaxy, but with a fixed, top-down perspective like Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. To “complete” the level, you still need to reach the Power Star. In this case though, it’s been swapped out with a Staryu.

Here’s a look at the mod in video form:
