The Famitsu Award 2018 ceremony was held tonight in Japan, and it was filled with plenty of Nintendo-related winners. The big news is that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate won Game of the Year alongside Monster Hunter: World. Masahiro Sakurai, who directed the game, also secured an “MVP” award.

Wu-Ruixiang, Yashamaru Kurama revealed for Samurai Shodown

During a live stream hosted by SNK today, The final two new characters for Samurai Shodown were revealed. Wu-Ruixiang and Yashamaru Kurama will both be included in the roster. They’ll join Darli Dagger as the three entirely new roster participants.

Littlewood coming to Switch

Earlier this year, Littlewood was funded on Kickstarter. Over $80,000 was raised to help bring the “peaceful RPG” to life.
We now know that Littlewood will be coming to Switch. Nintendo has approved the game and its developer, securing a release on the console.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey getting VR support with Nintendo Labo

Nintendo has revealed that some significant functionality is coming to Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey. Both games will be updated to support the Nintendo Labo VR Kit with the Toy-Con VR Goggles, the company announced.
For Mario Odyssey, Nintendo is implementing “a bit-sized bonus experience”. Three mini missions will have players collecting music notes and Coins in the Cap, Seaside, and Luncheon Kingdoms.
