Nintendo promises that Switch 2’s mouse feature works on your pants

Nintendo Switch 2’s brand new mouse mode will work well on your pants, according to the system’s producer.
During a press conference recently, Kouichi Kawamoto spoke about the new feature. He went as far as to say that for some members of the Drag x Drive development team, they preferred playing the game that way.
When asked about how the new mouse functionality for Nintendo Switch 2 came about, Kawamoto had this to say:

The first day of Nintendo Treehouse: Live | Nintendo Switch 2 is about to begin. Fans can tune in starting at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe.
Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, Drag x Drive, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, Metroid Prime 4, and GameCube games will all apparently be shown here. Nintendo has indicated that the event will be four hours long.

Nintendo on decision to use LCD screen for Switch 2 instead of OLED

Just like the original Nintendo Switch, Switch 2 features an LCD screen. Some had hoped that the system would end up going the OLED route, but that wasn’t meant to be.
Nintendo’s Tetsuya Sasaki has now explained the decision to go with an LCD screen over the OLED as part of a recent interview. Sasaki indicated that the LCD space has seen “a lot of advancements” and also pointed out that the OLED version of Nintendo Switch didn’t support HDR, which is built in for Switch 2.
Nintendo Switch 2 confirms DLSS, hardware ray tracing support

Nintendo has confirmed a couple of key technical points for Switch 2, as we now know officially that it will support DLSS upscaling tech as well as ray tracing.
DLSS has been one of the earlier rumors surrounding the console. Essentially, if a game uses it, that means it can reach a higher resolution without actually hitting that target natively.

Chessarama releasing on Nintendo Switch

Today, SMG Studio and Minimol Games announced plans to bring Chessarama to Nintendo Switch. A release is planned for April 17, 2025.
Chessarana is an anthology of original chess-inspired puzzle games. Eight single-player variations of the classic board game are included.

April 2: For months now, there’s been talk about a brand new C-button for Nintendo Switch 2. This can be found on the right Joy-Con that sits right underneath the home button. Fans have been wondering what the new C button is for, and today’s Nintendo Direct presentation provided that answer.
Game Chat is included as a new feature on the console. By using it, players can communicate with friends and family while playing a game. A microphone is built directly into the system for chat, supporting both docked and handheld modes.
