It didn’t take long for Mortal Kombat 11 to reveal its next character. Just shortly after the announcement of Kabal, we now know that D’Vorah will also be included.

Thus far we haven’t really seen much of D’Vorah in Mortal Kombat 11. When we have her character trailer, we’ll share it on the site.

Apex Legends

Yesterday saw the reveal and launch of a new game from EA and Titanfall developer Respawn. The two companies have released Apex Legends, a free-to-play Battle Royale title. It’s not out on Switch at this time, but that doesn’t mean it’s completely off the table.

Speaking with Eurogamer, lead producer Drew McCoy said Respawn would love to bring Apex Legends to Switch as well as mobile. However, there’s “nothing [they] can currently talk about” for the time being. In other words, we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the future.

Sonic will be back at this year’s SXSW with the “Gotta Go Fast: The Official Sonic the Hedgehog Panel” next month. Once again, it sounds like fans can look forward to announcements.

Nintendo published two more short commercials for Switch today focusing on Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. We have both below.

Flyhigh Works issued a trailer for Alchemic Dungeons DX, which launches for Switch on February 14. Thus far we have confirmation in Japanese pricing of 800 yen.

Here’s a trailer for the game:

Alchemic Dungeons DX is the same roguelike from 3DS, but with added characters, items, dungeons, background music, and more.

The way that Switch works currently, Nintendo’s online architecture doesn’t properly support voice chat. That’s why we’ve seen something like Fortnite taking a different approach, which happens to use Vivox.

Vivox is taking its Switch plans a step further by announcing that it’s making a software development kid available to add text and voice chat to Switch games. Third-parties will be able to take advantage of the same functionality that Fortnite has been offering.
