2K Sports issued a new “gameplay” trailer for NBA 2K19 today called “Take the Crown”. You can get a look at the video below.

Soundfall, the debut title from Drastic Games, has been announced for Switch.

A music-driven action adventure game, Soundfall was developed by alumni from Epic Games. It features a mashup of twin-stick shooting and rhythm-based gameplay.

Slam Land

With Slam Land hitting Switch today, Bread Machine Games published a launch trailer for the digital title. We’ve included the video below.

Headup Games has been pretty active on Switch as of late. Today alone the company is publishing In Between, Toby: The Secret Mine and Super Blackjack Battle II Turbo Edition.

Headup also revealed today that it is partnering with Napalmtree on Tied Together. Here’s an overview and trailer for the local co-op party game:

Nintendo has set a release date for The World Ends with You: Final Remix in the west. North America and Europe are both getting the game on October 12.

Previously, Square Enix announced a release date of September 27 for Japan.

Update: The Valkyria Chronicles 4 demo and pre-load are now live on the eShop.


Original: SEGA has passed along some notable news about Valkyria Chronicles 4. Along with a demo, digital pre-orders will be live later today. SEGA actually says that both are live now, but we’re not seeing anything just yet – that should change when the eShop updates in a couple of hours.

Original (8/6): The Art of Bravely Default will finally be receiving a release in the west. That’s according to Amazon, which lists a February 2019 release for the book.

Octopath Traveler

Square Enix held its own conference for financial results earnings earlier today. The company had quite a bit to say about the performance of Octopath Traveler.

The new Switch RPG had sales stronger than Square Enix’s pre-sales forecast. Moreover, it exceeded expectations especially in the United States and Europe. The game also saw higher-than-average ratio of download version vs. packaged.

Bandai Namco held a conference earlier today for its latest financial earnings. During the event, the company commented on Switch.

Bandai Namco stated that making games for Switch requires a different approach than the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, the system is great at “igniting play” anytime, anywhere, and with anyone. The firm is willing to provide more games on the platform as a result.
