Moonlighter coming to Switch on November 5

11 bit studios has finally nailed down a specific date for the Switch version of Moonlighter. It’ll be released on November 5, the developer announced today.
Moonlighter is “an action RPG with rogue-lite elements that shines a light on the daily adventures of Will, an devoted shopkeeper who secretly dreams of becoming a hero.” View a new trailer for the game below.
Moonlighter will be sold both physically and digitally on Switch.

Once again, director Junichi Masuda and designer Kensaku Nabana have shared some comments about the new entry and other topics. They discussed the post-game Master Trainers, the handling of Meltan’s reveal, the possibility of an open-world game like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and more.

New Overcooked 2 update out now

Ghost Town Games and Team17 have released a new update for Overcooked 2, which “improves the way your progression is saved in online games.” According to Team17, “progress is now being saved for any player logged into a profile, which means that everyone saves campaign progress when joining others online.”

Later in the week, The Room will be launching digitally on Switch. Fireproof Games sent out a few screenshots showing how the visuals have improved on Nintendo’s console compared to the original mobile release. Take a look at the images below.
The Room is hitting the Switch eShop on Thursday. It’s a “physical puzzler, wrapped in a mystery game, inside a beautifully tactile 3D world.”

Game Freak experimented with “a more photorealistic approach” for Pokemon: Let’s Go

IGN published a new article today about Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee. It includes comments from director Junichi Masuda and lead game environment designer Kensaku Nabana. One of the big things we learn is that the team experimented with “a more photorealistic approach” when it came to visuals, but ultimately felt that the graphics didn’t fit in with the vision of a “more kind and soothing and inviting experience”.
