Pokemon GO Fest suffering from long lines and connectivity issues as Niantic CEO gets booed on stage
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Mobile, News | 20 Comments
Remember when Pokemon GO launched last year and the game was hit with massive connection issues? The same problems have returned one year later.
At Pokemon GO Fest, attendees are having to deal with long lines. Connectivity issues are also plaguing players, meaning the game is unplayable for many fans. Adding to it all, some people spent quite a bit of money just to make it to Pokemon GO Fest.
This culminated with Niantic CEO John Hanke getting booed during an introductory speech on stage:

So… this is all a huge mess. We’ll have to see how things play out during the rest of the day.

Harvey Atkin, the voice of King Koopa in the Super Mario Bros. cartoons, has passed away
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 16 Comments
Harvey Atkin passed away this week after losing a battle to cancer. He was 74.
Some of you may be unaware of this, but Atkin played a big role in the Super Mario Bros. cartoons way back in the day. Atkin voiced King Koopa in three different animated shows in the 80’s and 90’s. Interestingly, he was the only one to play the same role in each series. Atkin was involved with The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, and The New Super Mario World series.
Rest in peace, Harvey Atkin.

Retailers shift Redout’s release date once again
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 3 Comments
For awhile we had hoped that Redout would finally come to Switch this month. GameStop went as far as to list it for July 25 in one of its weekly ads. Unfortunately, July 25 is almost upon us, and that date is looking extremely unlikely.
GameStop’s own online listing has been updated to October 24. The same goes for Best Buy. Amazon has a release date of August 29.
In any case, the bottom line is that we still don’t have an official release date for Redout on Switch. Anything being listed by retailers is speculation at this time.
