The Switch eShop added in the ability to save credit card information last night. As it turns out, this wasn’t the only change.

The “Recent Releases” now features a “View All” button at the end of the page. Clicking on it presents all games sorted from new to old. You can also set the price range, view the best sellers, and arrange things from old to new.

What’s interesting about this is that it’s not entirely new. You could actually do it before, but the issue was that not many Switch owners knew about it. Basically, by going to the search area and then clicking “Search Filters”, the same page as the “View All” page pops up. So it may be somewhat of a minor addition, but something that will definitely go a long way.

Thanks to Jes T for the tip.

Kirby recently celebrated a big event – specifically the series’ 25th anniversary. With that big day in mind, two representatives from HAL Laboratory shared messages on Miiverse.

Satoshi Ishida started off with a brief introduction. He then passed things off to Shinya Kumazaki, who has directed most of the latest Kirby games.

The full message is below:

Hyper Sentinel

Hyper Sentinel is in the works for Switch, Huey Games announced today. The shoot ’em up will release alongside the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions this summer.

Here’s a trailer:

Hyper Sentinel is described as “a super-slick, ultra-fast arcade shooter with an explosive pixel-art aesthetic.” The game, which runs at 60 frames per second, has twelve levels, power ups, and boss battles. There are also sixty medals to complete, online leaderboards, three difficulty modes, a combo chain score system, and SID-style chiptune soundtrack by Fractures.

This week’s Famitsu review scores are as follows:

Kamiko (NSW) – 7/8/7/8
Shoot the Ball (Wii U / 3DS) – 5/4/5/3
How to Survive 2 (PS4) – 8/8/8/8
Rewrite Harvest festa! (PSV) – 8/8/7/7

Ditching the Master Sword isn’t normally possible in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. But with a new glitch, players are allowing for it to happen – and in a strange way.

Having enemies shoot a certain number of arrows causes issues with the game’s memory management. When there are too many arrows, you’ll see a glitched character model of Link in the inventory menu. Weapons can also be duplicated. By doing so, you can “drop” the Master Sword, and you’ll even see a message stating: “The Master Sword has returned to the forest”.

Note that the sword is still kept in your inventory. It’s though that Nintendo may have thought about creating a possible failsafe in a previous build that was ultimately discarded. It’s pretty neat in any case.

Earlier this year, Jake Hunter: Ghost of the Dusk was announced for 3DS. Famitsu now confirms that the game will launch in Japan on August 31 for 5,370 yen.

Jake Hunter: Ghost of the Dusk is being developed by the series’ original staff. It’s about a “return to roots” and features familiar systems through which you’ll use simple controls and command selections. The staple “Tobacco System” is back, which is used when you want to put all your hints in order.

Confirmed characters include:

Saburou Jinguuji / Jake Hunter (voiced by Juurouta Kosugi)
Yoko Misono (voiced by Mamiko Noto)
Sanzou Kumano (voiced by Fumihiko Tachiki)
Daigo Kaga (voiced by Seiichirou Yamashita)
Satomi (voiced by Konomi Kohara)

Jake Hunter: Ghost of the Dusk is currently 80 percent complete.

One complaint some Switch users have had is the system’s inability to store credit card information on the eShop. Each time something is purchased, you’ve needed to reenter the details. But following some maintenance tonight, this changed.

When buying a digital download, you’ll now have the option to save your credit card information. You’ll see this information under your user profile when it’s stored. Users also have the option to enable / disable password entry for purchases when credit card information has been saved.

Below are a few photos showing the new credit card settings:

Nintendo appears set on improving the Switch eShop and making it more convienent to use, which isn’t too surprising. Last month, the company added in a best sellers chart.
