A Deadline report from last year revealed that Dentsu Entertainment USA had teamed up with Man of Action Entertainment to create a new Mega Man animated series. We haven’t heard much about the project since then, but it still appears to be happening.
Destructoid came across an updated landing page from Dentsu Entertainment USA which reconfirms Deadline’s original article. The cartoon is on track for a 2017 launch in line with Mega Man’s 30th anniversary. A logo has also appeared, which you can get a look at above.
New Punch-Out!! Easter egg found after almost 30 years

Nintendo originally brought Punch-Out!! to the NES back in 1987, making the game nearly three decades old. Even though it’s been around for ages, new secrets still continue to appear. In 2009 for example, one undiscovered tidbit was shared in an Iwata Asks discussion. Reddit user midwesternhousewives now appears to have come across a new Easter egg.
In the second Piston Honda fight, a visual cue from one of the spectators indicates when the player should throw a punch to knock out their opponent with a single punch. This also works during Bald Bull’s charge attack in his second fight. As soon as the bearded man ducks, that’s when you should go in for your attack.
Players had previously known about being able to take down Honda with a one-punch KO. The new trick here is the visual cue.
Here’s the explanation from midwesternhousewives:

A few days ago, Australian publication Stack put up a new interview with Shigeru Miyamoto. As you would expect, it was focused mainly on Star Fox Zero. He discussed the GamePad integration, shared first word on the game’s Arcade More, and more. Miyamoto also addressed two general topics: revisiting Nintendo franchises and trying to appeal to new/old players.
A number of Miyamoto’s responses can be found after the break. For the full interview, head on over here.

Audition for new RPG has heavy Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE focus, resulting in sequel speculation

This month, Avex Group (in conjunction with SHOWROOM and Decoo), will be holding a public audition for a voice acting position in a new role-playing game. Japanese blog Hachima Kikou speculates that the news could hint at a follow-up of some kind to Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. It’s noteworthy as Avex produced the music in that very Wii U game.
There is no guarantee, but Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE will have a strong presence at the event. In fact, participants will be asked to perform a song from the Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Vocal Collection. A couple of the judges were also involved with the title. Avex does have significant recognition in the music industry, though the company hasn’t worked on too many video game projects – the most prominent one being Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE.
