Nintendo “tried for months” to make the Humble Nindie Bundle global
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 15 Comments
A surprising Humble Bundle sale kicked off earlier today. Nintendo made history as the first company to have games from its systems represented, which is made up of various indie titles. The bundle is an absolute steal, and you have to commend Nintendo on making it happen. There is, however, one notable downside: codes are only valid for those with North American Wii U and 3DS systems.
Based on a comment from Nintendo’s Damon Baker, it sounds like the lack of European support wasn’t entirely the company’s fault. Baker wrote on Twitter that he “tried for months to make it global”. In the future, he believes that they’ll be able to have Europe included in the sale.
@Jason_Lepine @seven5three Yep, it's only a @NintendoAmerica deal. Tried for months to make it global but we'll get there eventually!

Bravely team considering whether to make a sequel or new title, thinking about Bravely Second for the west
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 4 Comments
The next “Bravely” game could head in one of two directions. Speaking with Japanese website Gamer, producer Tomoya Asano stated that the team is considering two options. The next Bravely game could be a another sequel, but it’s also possible that we’ll see a completely new title instead.
Asano and assistant producer Shinji Takahashi said:
“Hmm… yes, we’re currently thinking about whether a sequel would be more appropriate or if a completely new title would be more appropriate. This is currently a hot topic among [the development team].” – Asano
“We’re thinking about all kinds of things, like what kind of things are requested, and getting feedback from fans.” – Takahashi
Asano shared some other interesting information as well. When asked if Bravely Second will see something like Bravely Default: For the Sequel (re-release with fixes and additions), he noted that there are no plans. The team is only thinking about the western version of the game.
Also, there are currently no plans for additional scenarios through DLC. The only updates for Bravely Second will come in the form of standard patches.

Rumors about the next Skylanders have been picking up steam as of late. There’s been talk about the game featuring vehicles, and earlier today, an unconfirmed name emerged: Skylanders Superchargers.
Skylanders Superchargers is looking more and more like the final title. Reader Mucrush passed along the image above, which is a snapshot from Danish retailer Fætter BR’s database. It’s listed for a number of platforms including Wii U, 3DS, and Wii. No release date is attached to the listings.
Activision hasn’t officially announced the next Skylanders, but I’m sure we’ll be hearing something soon. Chances are that it will be called Skylanders Superchargers!

Extreme Exorcism heading to the Wii U eShop
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Extreme Exorcism is coming to Wii U, Golden Ruby Games and Ripstone Publishing announced. The game will be out on the eShop later this year.
Here’s the official overview:
Not for the faint hearted, Extreme Exorcism is an arena platformer where every move you make comes back to haunt you.
Take on the role of Extreme Exorcist Mae Barrons – whose unconventional supernatural skills are called upon when everything and everyone else has failed to rid a haunted house of its ghostly presence.
Mae’s methods are a little extreme but she’s not dealing with your average poltergeists. She’s armed with a lethal arsenal of over 20 ghost-busting weapons including; swords, guns, grenades, mines, rocket launchers, razor-sharp boomerangs, lightning spells and Kung-Fu moves, and more.
Each time a ghost is eliminated, another will appear to mimic your every move – so tread carefully, or prepare to reap what you sow. In Extreme Exorcism you’re your own worst enemy. The longer you survive, the more extreme the game becomes.
With 50 challenges, a single player story mode and local multiplayer with up to 4 players, including both co-op and deathmatch modes – there’s plenty on offer for any potential ghost hunters on Wii U and PS3. Players can also look forward to customising games and creating their own rule sets to encourage even more extreme gameplay.
