REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–One is a brilliant archeologist who has traveled the world solving puzzles and unearthing ancient civilizations. The other is a bumbling defense attorney whose sense of justice is matched only by his sense of style. The two seem like an unlikely pair, but with the life of an innocent girl at stake in Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, the two heroes join forces to tackle an enigmatic mystery big enough for both of them. The Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney game launches for Nintendo 3DS on Aug. 29 and combines the puzzle-solving satisfaction of the Professor Layton series with the courtroom drama of the Phoenix Wright franchise.

“This is the whole truth and nothing but the truth: Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is an absolute treat for longtime fans of both series and newcomers who love puzzles and engaging stories”

Things will kick off at 8 AM ET / 5 AM ET.

As you might have heard, Tappingo 2 is delayed until 4 September (next week). The Nintendo team asked me if I wanted to delay the game. Because this week was super busy and they could help me
promote the game much better next week.

The reason I’m mentioning this is because I’m just super grateful to the NoA team. They are trying to
think with me, and are actively helping out to make Tappingo 2 a success.

Without them looking out for me. I would have released the game this week (without knowing about
the other titles coming out). And it would probably been snowed under.

Having them behind me is a great feeling!

I think it’s something worth mentioning. Especially after all the negative news about Nintendo and
third parties. I think it’s good to know Nintendo is actively trying to help indies.

I do got some cool stuff to share with you about Tappingo 2 as well;

Most players seemed to love the retro console puzzles in Tappingo 1. Well, they are back! But I took
it to the next level; I’m collaborating with some of the biggest Nintendo indies to have puzzles based
on their games.

The Japanese Hyrule Warriors Twitter account is further hinting at DLC characters for the future. A message posted earlier today asked fans, “who would you like to see?”

So how about it, guys? Which additional characters would you be interested in seeing in the game?

Today’s Super Smash Bros. 3DS screenshot gives us a new look at character customization. Take a look below:

Update: We’ll just throw this in as well as opposed to making a new post. werejack is claiming that two new Wii U bundles for North America – LEGO City: Undercover and New Super Mario Bros. U – are also on the way.

Earlier this month, Nintendo announced a special Smash Bros.-themed 3DS XL for Europe. A similar system has yet to be confirmed for North America, though it’s possible that we’ll be hearing something in September.

Twitter user “werejack” claims that Nintendo has something planned for the states as well, but “it might be different from the Europe one.” He suggests that the North American Smash Bros. 3DS XL will be “bluer.”

We normally wouldn’t post this sort of conjecture, but werejack actually leaked news of the Zelda: Wind Waker HD Wii U bundle, black 3DS XL, and red/blue Pokemon 3DS XL systems prior to their announcements last year. Hopefully werejack’s latest tweets are accurate as well!

Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii featured a quest log that could quickly become very long and intimidating for some players. For the game’s successor, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Monolith Soft is looking to make “a much more user-friendly experience”.

Executive producer Tetsuya Takahashi told EDGE this month that in the Wii U game, “objectives and relevant people will be displayed on the map.” Monolith Soft is also implementing “a number of other features to help with quests”.
