XType Plus will get off-TV play in an update, co-op likely as well

XType Plus is out now on the Wii U eShop, but PhobosLab isn’t done with the game.
In a Reddit AMA held last week, the developer said that an update is planned, and it will add off-TV play. Co-op is also likely to be come through a patch.
Here’s PhobosLab’s full response when asked about the possibility of co-op being added in the future:
Franky, It’s my first game on a console and I wanted to test the waters first. I didn’t want to develop something for a long time that nobody would be playing in the end.
Reception has been great so far. I’m planing an update and a co-op mode is pretty high on my todo list, along off-tv play. So: yes

Zen Studios will continue supporting Wii U, no 3DS plans currently

Wii U owners can expect more support from Zen Studios in the future. The company announced that three more tables will be coming to the console next week, and fans can look out for even more content going forward.
Zen Studios’ Mel Kirk told Nintendo Life:
Yes, we are aiming for Wii U parity in the future with updates and new tables. Additionally, KickBeat Special Edition will be released on Wii U in line with other releases on other consoles.
Zen is committed to continuing support of the Wii U eShop in the future. We are really encouraged by the amazing games coming to the platform and we think there will be a boost in Wii U sales that will hopefully translate to players coming to the eShop to discover games. I think Zen might have the most Wii U eShop releases, so we hope players enjoy our games!
Zen Studios has made a few titles for 3DS as well, though the platform isn’t as likely to be supported in the future, which Kirk explained:
At this time we do not have any 3DS plans to share. Our type of game system does not mesh very well with 3DS, so it has been tough to support add-on content. However, the game does play amazing on the 3DS, and I especially love it on the XL.

Natsume details the story and characters of Alphadia Genesis
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 1 Comment
A new announcement published by Natsume today shares new details about the game.
First, here’s a quick overview of the game’s story:
Alphadia Year 1092: Fifteen years have passed since the end of the terrible Energi Wars, where clones were used as weapons. Two kingdoms, after nearly destroying each other and the natural resources of Energi, signed an important peace treaty, and have been co-operative neighbors ever since: Augustine and Archleign, where the story of Alphadia Genesis begins.
We also have the following information regarding Alphadia Genesis’ characters:
Fray is a member of the local guild in the Kingdom of Archleign, and a skilled swordsman; though he’s been invited to join the national army, he prefers the freedom of working on his own schedule. He has a younger sister, Aurra. His primary element is Fire.
Aurra, an early addition to the party, is an Energi researcher and an expert on clones from the recent Energi Wars. She worries about her brother, and wants to name clones after food. Her primary element is Light.
Enah, a clone accidentally activated by Fray, is a Model 2000, and more stable than the Model 1000. Wielding a deadly chakra, don’t get between her and her master! Her primary element is Water.
Corone may look meek and demure, but her soft exterior and manners hide a core of steel! From the Kingdom of Augustine, she has been sent by her king to discover the mystery behind clones who have begun murdering their masters – but does she have an ulterior motive? Her primary element is Light.
Walter is the other member of the Augustine Kingdom investigation squad. He looks down on guild members like Fray, believing anyone with real talent should join their nation’s army. He’s very hot tempered and will squabble frequently with other party members. His primary element is Water.
A sixth mystery party member will also be encountered in Alphadia Genesis.
Alphadia Genesis will be released on the North American Wii U eShop this fall. It will be the first game in the Alphadia series to hit consoles in North America.
