Cosmochoria, a title that just recently reached its funding goal on Kickstarter, has been confirmed for Wii U. Creator Nate Schmold shared the news on Twitter, writing:

Here’s an official overview as to what you can expect from Cosmochoria:

Cosmochoria is a love letter to old-school action / arcade games like Asteroids, Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong. Cosmochoria is a mesmerizing way to kill hours: hopping between planets, unravelling forgotten mysteries, killing aliens & giant space monsters and planting mysterious seeds to sprout new life across a long-barren galaxy. Get involved in helping to complete Cosmochoria’s development by backing the project and gain access to some super cool Kickstarter exclusive rewards!

Cosmochoria’s Kickstarter is located here. The Wii U stretch goal awaits at $25,000, which should be met shortly. Even if it doesn’t, it sounds like Schmold will be bringing his game to the eShop.

Child of Light is now available on the Wii U eShop in both North America and Europe. If you’re planning on purchasing the game, make sure you reserve 2,346MB of space.

A day-one update is also available for Child of Light. No clue what it does, but it should improve the experience!

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams developer Black Forest Games has launched a Kickstarter for a new project titled “DieselStörmers”.

DieselStörmers builds on Project Ravensdale – a separate Kickstarter that was cancelled last year. However, this new game is being made “from the ground up, completely from scratch.” Black Forest’s Kickstarter reads, “New ideas, new concept, from beginning to end, no holds barred.”

You can get a taste of DieselStörmers in the video above. More information can be found on the Kickstarter page here.

Remember, Ghost Song isn’t officially confirmed for Wii U. Wii U was originally included in the game’s Kickstarter campaign, but didn’t end up being met. However, the game’s developer has expressed continued interest in bringing Ghost Song to the eShop.

Earlier today, Nintendo launched its official website for E3 2014. You can find it right here.

Until just a short while ago, the page included an interesting mention of a “new Nintendo system” in its source code. The strange thing? It’s gone now.

I wasn’t entirely sure if this was worth mentioning, but quite a number of you have brought it to our attention. Was it a mistake? Something more? Nothing at all?

By the way: in case you’re questioning the validity of the image above, I can confirm that it’s the real deal. I saw it earlier in the day myself!

SmileBoom president Takaki Kobayashi has shared a few words about the upcoming 3DS version of Petit Computer.

This new version, according to Kobayashi, will allow users “to easily implement the stereoscopic camera, touch panel, and sensors with BASIC commands”. Ultimately, he believes it will be “possible to create 2D games in BASIC that are on the level of a Super Famicom or PlayStation game.”

Kobayashi’s words in full:

Currently, we are developing a new Petitcom (SmileBASIC) for the 3DS. This software allows you to easily implement the stereoscopic camera, touch panel, and sensors with BASIC commands, making it possible to create 2D games in BASIC that are on the level of a Super Famicom or PlayStation game. I believe that if there’s an environment allowing you to easily make games, there will be young people who will show us new ideas that no one’s ever seen before. It is our hope that young people will create something we never could have imagined.
