SEGA is pulling the plug on Initial D Perfect Shift Online. Today, the company announced that service for its game will end on June 30. SEGA stated that as it reflected on offering a satisfactory service for customers and the difficult situation, they decided to end the service.

Players will still be able to play Initial D Perfect Shift Online’s offline mode once June 30 has passed. However, if they delete any related data, the game is lost forever.

Initial D Perfect Shift Online seemed to have been a success for SEGA having racked up over 500,000 downloads. There was also talk about a sequel, though we haven’t heard much about it since December.

Thanks to Thiago H for the tip.

Muteki and Choice Provisions recently announced that the two sides are teaming up for the distribution of the Dragon Fantasy games. Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria and Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice are still coming to 3DS as originally planned, but other platforms have been added, including Wii U.

So how’d all of this come about anyway? It’s all because creator Adam Rippon is involved at both Muteki and Choice Provisions. As for Wii U, Choice specifically requested that the console be thrown into the mix.

Muteki founder Bryan Sawler told Siliconera:

Adam works there? Seriously, though, they actually approached us about the idea. Adam had started working with the Choice Provisions guys on some games and they mentioned they’d love to help us get the games on Steam. At the point we were talking about a 3DS port already and they told us about this idea of Choice Publishing and we decided that our interests were aligned. Half-way through the deal they decided they were interested in adding Wii U to the mix and far be it from me to get in the way of more people playing this game!

Update: It turns out that the screenshot is old, as it was originally posted by Nicalis’ Tyrone Rodriguez about a year ago (thanks BrybryPokebip). I have no idea why Nicalis tweeted it out as a company today though!

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has long been teased for 3DS. That continued today with a new tweet from Nicalis.

Just a couple of minutes ago, the company posted the following:

By scanning the above QR code, you’ll be redirected to a URL on Nicalis’ website. What is it? A 3D screenshot of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (shown above), which seems to come from a 3DS build.

We need the teases to stop. Now it’s time for an announcement – don’t you think?!

IronFall Invasion’s new update, which came out in Europe last week, is now available in North America as well. The latest patch brings IronFall Invasion up to version 1.1. For the full patch notes, read on below.

More: ,

The last two days we’ve seen Pachirisu and Sigilyph join the list of Pokémon made available through Pokémon Shuffle’s ‘Daily Event’, which is updated every couple of weeks and gives players the chance to catch Pokémon that are otherwise unobtainable by normal means. Today, we add Tropius to the list of Daily Event Pokémon!

Tropius will only be up for the next 24 hours, though it’ll be made available every Wednesday for the next three weeks, so get it while you can!
