He continues:

If you hit the X Button, it will randomly fill up the remaining weight allowance with powers. You can keep changing the line-up as many times as you please. The level of a power is proportional to its strength, number of uses, and weight. Organizing them might be easier if you label your favorite powers with a ?.

Famitsu recently published an interview with Etrian Odyssey Untold II: The Knight of Fafnir producer and director Shigeo Komori.

First, here’s what Komori said about changes from the previous game:

“Our thought was to make an Etrian Odyssey game that focuses on the characters and story that many people can enjoy, and that development concept principle has not changed. Also, the subtitle of the game, ‘The Knight of Fafnir’ is about the protagonist.”

“Last time it was the subtitle of ‘The Millennium Girl,’ which revolved around the heroine’s story. However, this time it will be about the player’s role as the protagonist, and how his friends overcome obstacles in the fantasy RPG you’ll get to enjoy.”

Komori also shared the following details:

– “Fafnir” is the name of the protagonist’s power that allows him to transform
– Komori states that it will completely transform his appearance while giving him a big boost in stats
– It also brings about a variety of different skills he can use
– Using this transformation ability can easily change the tides in battle
– It’ll also have its limits
– The heroine Arianna is of the “Princess” class
– The game’s character designer Yuji Himukai put quite the effort into her design
– Himukai included roughly 20 different expressions for all the other characters
– Arianna will have over 50 different expressions in the game
– There will also be animated scenes and voice acting like Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl
– There’s about twice the volume of voice-acting
– New still-frame event styles
– Supports up to 8 save slots

This month’s issue of GamesTM has a small interview with Square Enix producer Ichiro Hazama.

Hazama, who worked on Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, shared a few words about the 3DS game. Most interestingly, he mentioned that Curtain Call is intended to be “the definitive version of Final Fantasy Theatrhythm”.

Here’s his comments in full:

The songs themselves have great quality and stand up on their own, no question. Also, because they are used in games, I think that when people hear these songs they remember a particular scene or moment in the game.

What I’ve tried to do here is make the definitive version of Final Fantasy Theatrhythm; I don’t intend to make any others.

Today The Pokémon Company International showcased the Mega-Evolved form of Audino in a new trailer made especially for the crowds at gamescom, taking place this week in Cologne, Germany.

Audino was not known to evolve from or to any other form, so this is an interesting twist in the mysterious story of Mega Evolution.

The official Etrian Odyssey II Untold: The Knight of the Fafnir website has details about three supporting characters in the game. You’ll find information about each below.

Flavio

– Protagonist’s childhood friend
– Currently a member of the Mizgarz expedition group
– Always-cheerful, talkative, and the life of the party of the guild
– Straightforward, so he’s often the guy who keeps others in check.

Chloe

– War Magus
– Traveled alongside Bertrand
– Strange deadpan girl who doesn’t talk much
– Only budges when she finds something interesting
– The few times she actually speaks, she can be a little outspoken, but never means any harm

Bertrand

– The protagonist meets Bertrand at the Ginnunga Ruins
– This is where a certain ceremony takes place every hundred years
– Bertrand is a feeble and irresponsible guy
– This kind of goes against the ideal image of his class as a paladin
