Takaya Imamura spent 32 years at Nintendo. Imamura ended up working on some of the company’s biggest games and franchises, including Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Smash Bros., Star Fox, and F-Zero. One of his noteworthy contributions was designing Tingle, who would go on to star in a couple of his own games after being an NPC in Majora’s Mask.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time early 1997 build emerges with pre-release assets, showcases changes from the final game

One of our earliest looks at The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time came in 1997. It was fully playable at the trade show, which was a full year before launch. We’ve learned over the years that the build on display there offered up some significant changes from the final version.
Now more than twenty years later, assets from that early version of Zelda: Ocarina of Time have popped up online. Forest of Illusion obtained a prototype N64 cartridge for F-Zero X from a former Nintendo employee, which amazingly enough, has the unfinished build.
Here’s a roundup of notable findings:

PlatinumGames hopes to give an update on Bayonetta 3 and more in 2021

When PlatinumGames is asked about Bayonetta 3, you tend to get the same response. Aside from the studio constantly reassuring fans that development is going well, we haven’t really heard much about the game. That’s been the case since the project was originally announced at The Game Awards in December 2017.
There’s still no word on when Bayonetta 3 will release, but perhaps we’ll finally hear more this year. That’s based on a brief comment from PlatinumGames’ Hideki Kamiya.
During one of the recent Arcade Archives streams, Kamiya – who is known for his appreciation of classic games – had a phone conversation with Hamster boss Satoshi Hamada. Kamiya ended up suggesting that there could be a status update on Bayonetta 3 and other upcoming titles from the studio in 2021.
