With E3 2019 starting to wrap up, we do actually have a little bit of news about next year’s show. E3 2020 will take place between June 9 and June 11. Once again, it will be a three-day affair.

Square Enix continues to re-releases its older games through remasters and ports. That doesn’t mean you can play everything, however. As one example, there’s currently no way to experience Chrono Trigger on Switch. Square Enix also has a bunch of older titles that have yet to make their way to newer systems.

Interestingly, Square Enix president and CEO Yosuke Matsuda told Game Informer that hes’ aware of the demand to have the company’s library to be available completely digitally. Matsuda said that a “variety” of plans are in the works on that front, with Square Enix “working hard” to offer “classic titles that you might have played on NES”. In fact, a dedicated project is now in place to port those kinds of titles.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser was asked about appealing to M-rated gamers. That prompted him to note that the company wants to appeal to all types of players across different genres, art styles, and more. The only type of title Nintendo doesn’t accept is something rated Adults Only.

Nintendo just passed along a press release recapping all of its activities at E3 2019 today. We have the full thing below.

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Nintendo kicked off the first day of the E3 video game trade show with big announcements in its morning Nintendo Direct presentation. Nintendo followed its presentation with a day of Nintendo Treehouse: Live gameplay and interview segments designed to give fans a deeper look at various games:

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield: Developers from GAME FREAK inc. explained how wild and random encounters work in the game. They also showed off the in-game battle system, Max Raid Battles and details of the Wild Area. The games are scheduled to launch Nov. 15.

Luigi appears to be a hit with the ladies. According to Nintendo’s Bill Trinen, the company’s player research showed that the character was a particularly attractive lead character to a female audience. Trinen shared that tidbit of information in an interview with Eurogamer.
