Nintendo files new trademark for “1080° Ten Eighty” in Europe

Could 1080° Snowboarding be returning in some fashion? That’s what some fans are hoping following a new European trademark from Nintendo. “1080° Ten Eighty” was nabbed by Nintendo in December, and only just added to the database recently.
Ultimately, a trademark doesn’t guarantee anything. But it could be a sign that Nintendo is thinking about bringing 1080° Snowboarding in some fashion, such as through a re-release.

The Nintendo Power magazine ended its run back in 2012. But at the very end of 2017, Nintendo brought back the brand as part of a new, official podcast.
Nintendo Life has learned that staffers at Nintendo of America began to discuss the idea of a podcast in summer 2016. Steve Norman, who leads the way on social media for Nintendo, felt that it should feature the Nintendo Power name.

Video: Pokemon devs on the creation of Dialga and Palkia

2018 will be featuring a yearlong parade of Legendary Pokemon. Dialga and Palkia are getting things started this month. To celebrate, Game Freak developers Shigeki Morimoto, Kazumasa Iwao, and Shigeru Ohmori were interviewed to discuss their inspiration for these two Pokemon. Check out the full interview below.

New Year’s message from Natsume’s CEO
