New reports have indicated that the well-known Gulf War Game Boy stationed at Nintendo NY has been retired.
If you’ve been to the store over the years, one of the first things you probably saw was the deteriorated handheld. Even though it was damaged in a bombing during the Gulf War, this particular Game Boy was still actually in working condition. However, it is no longer on display. Those hoping to check it out for themselves in person will no longer be able to do so.

Nintendo hasn’t asked for Mortal Kombat characters to appear in Smash Bros.

Super Smash Bros. has brought in characters from all sorts of legendary franchises – including fighting games like Street Fighter, Tekken, and Fatal Fury – but Mortal Kombat has been left out of the mix. However, that’s not due to a lack of interest from its developers.
Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon, speaking with Axios, recently mentioned that Nintendo hasn’t asked for a Mortal Kombat character to appear in Smash Bros. But if Boon had his way, Scorpion would be his top choice to join the roster. If Nintendo asked for two characters, Sub-Zero would be next. Boon said “it’s cool to see a spear pull somebody,” which is why he’d go with Scorpion above anyone else.

Kudzu is coming to both Switch and Game Boy following a successful run on Kickstarter. Things just wrapped up a little while ago and over $45,000 was raised. The primary purpose of the campaign was to fund the Game Boy release, but after reaching a stretch goal, Switch is also now in the picture.
For those that haven’t heard of it previously, the game is a non-linear adventure experience that has players taking on the role of Max, the apprentice gardener, who goes on an adventure trek through fields, gardens, forests, villas, and mountains covered with Kudzu, a known globally invasive plant species.
Here’s some additional information:

Fan spends over $3,500 to rant about Splatoon 3 at Nintendo shareholder meeting
Posted on 1 year ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News, Switch | 0 comments
Some bizarre situations have occurred at Nintendo’s financial meetings in the past, but one of the strangest happenings took place earlier today.
The Big N held its annual shareholder meeting, and per usual, it included a Q&A session. Reports have surfaced that someone was ranting “loudly” about female characters’ perceived preferential treatment in Splatoon 3 regarding customization. This person felt there is a lack of options for male characters, including hairstyles and emotes, compared to those available to the female counterpart.

E3 2024 and E3 2025 seemingly cancelled

Original: Based on the results of a meeting from the Los Angeles City Tourism Board of Commissioners, E3 2024 and E3 2025 may both be cancelled.
The accompanying Regular Meeting Packet from June 16 includes a note stating the show has been scrapped over the next couple of years. Originally, E3 2024 and E3 2025 were planned for June 11 and June 3 in their respective years. The ESA hasn’t shared an official comment, but it would be bizarre to include this information if the expo was still on track.
