The classic board game Labyrinth will soon have new adaptations of Mario and Pokemon, retailer listings reveal.

For those that are unaware, Labyrinth has been around for 35 years. The board game involves shifting the maze and moving along the path in hopes of getting the characters on your cards while blocking your opponents. If you’re the first to find all of your characters and make it back to the starting place, you’ll be the winner. It’s said to be easy enough for kids to play but fun for adults as well.

Disgaea series

In a video message today, Nippon Ichi Software president Sohei Niikawa announced that the Disgaea series has surpassed a total five million copies sold. Additionally, there are plans to continue the series. The company hopes to consider feedback stemming from Disgaea 6 for the future.

animal crossing amiibo cards restock

Nintendo has announced another restock of the Animal Crossing amiibo cards for North America.

Starting in early September, Target will be carrying the cards once again. The first four sets will be appearing on store shelves once more for $5.99. Unfortunately, Target is indeed the exclusive retailer for this one. Since Nintendo specified “early September”, you may want to keep an eye on your local store as early as today. At the moment it doesn’t look like the cards will be available online, but we’ll let you know if anything changes on that front.

tgs 2021 project triangle strategy

Square Enix is bringing Project Triangle Strategy to the Tokyo Game Show (TGS 2021) this year, the company has announced.

Confirmed games include:

zelda loftwing amiibo restock

A restock of the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo is available thanks to Amazon. The retailer is accepting new orders here. We wanted to confirm that this would remain live for some time before posting, and we can confirm it’s been up for several hours.

While the figure is certainly nice to look at, it offers compatibility with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. Players can scan the amiibo from anywhere on the surface world to quickly travel to the sky, and it even works within dungeons. Then by scanning it again above the clouds, you can return to the same spot on the surface.

Series producer Tomoya Asano commented on the series’ future in this week’s issue of Famitsu. Speaking with the Japanese magazine, he said (as translated by Nintendo Everything):

Gamescom 2022

This year’s Gamescom is over, and while it’s a year away, we already have a date for Gamescom 2022. Show organizers announced today that next year’s event will be held between August 24 and August 28.

The hope is that Gamescom 2022 will take place both in Cologne, Germany and online. However, the state of the world will ultimately affect the situation. There were originally plans for an in-person portion of Gamescom this year, but that didn’t end up happening.
