McDonald’s Happy Meals now offering Yo-kai Watch toys in Japan

We’ve previously seen Mario toys included in McDonald’s Happy Meals, and now it’s Yo-kai Watch’s turn. Eight different toys from Level-5’s franchise are available in Japan. Continue on below for a video look at the different offerings.

November 2016 NPD: NES Classic Edition sells nearly 200,000 units in the U.S.

This month’s NPD report is in, and it brings along some impressive news for the NES Classic Edition. In the United States last month, the hardware sold 196,000 units.
The NES Classic Edition would have undoubtedly sold more had more stock been put on store shelves. Nintendo has had a difficult time keeping up with demand, but has promised to ship more units leading into 2017.

Today, Wired put up a new interview of its own with Shigeru Miyamoto. Miyamoto talked Super Mario Run, including how he hasn’t been involved with a project like this since 2007. He also commented on the audience for Switch and why we won’t be seeing the original Super Mario Bros. on phones.

Nintendo’s next earnings release set for January 31

Nintendo has scheduled a date for its upcoming earnings release. The report will be published on January 31, and will look back on data during the nine month period ended December 31. Of course, you can expect the usual financial results briefing with investors as well.

Nintendo opened an official website today to wish its fans a happy holiday. You can find it right here.
Although there isn’t much to see on the site, the lone video there is noteworthy. We’re able to see a few more seconds of Link snowboarding on his shield in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If you’d prefer a YouTube version, we have it below.

New Pokemon stickers live on iMessage

Apple users will now find new Pokemon stickers awaiting them on iMessage. These are based on creatures from Pokemon Sun/Moon, and also include Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur. The official iTunes page is located here.

The Legend of Zelda 30th Anniversary Concert album coming to Japan in February

Update (12/15): Pre-orders are live on Play-Asia. The first-print limited edition is here while the standard version is here.
Original (12/14): Towards the beginning of 2017, an album for The Legend of Zelda 30th Anniversary Concert will launch in Japan. It will be available on February 15.
Nintendo held a Zelda concert in Japan on October 16. Music from the orchestrated performance is what publisher Nippon Columbia will be including on the CDs.
Fans will be able to choose between two versions: a first-print edition and standard release. The first-print edition will include a video DVD of the concert along with a CD stand and badges. Both versions contain two CDs and the same music.
