Siralim 3 is already on Switch, and Thylacine Studios is now getting ready to follow that up with Siralim Ultimate. An eShop listing has it down for December 2, 2022.
Siralim Ultimate is another monster catching, dungeon crawling RPG. It has over 1,200 creatures to collect, fusing monsters, randomly generated dungeons, and more.

Tate Multimedia has started distribution of a new 1.4 update for Kao the Kangaroo on Switch.
A couple of additions, improvements, and bug fixes are available. Players can now access an invert Y-axis option, the save system has been adjusted, performance drops have been addressed, and more.

Inscryption getting a physical release on Switch

Inscryption was officially announced for Switch during the Indie World Showcase this week, and it’s now been announced that a physical release is in the cards. Special Reserve Games is handling production.
Fans will be able to choose between a standard version and a “Reserve” edition. The first one simply includes the cartridge, reversible jacket artwork, and instruction booklet. The special edition has all of these goodies plus sequentially numbered packaging, a Special Reserve art card, and comes in a Special Reserve box.
Metroid Prime devs put GameCube dev kit in freezer to fix post-release issue

Believe it or not, the developers at Retro Studios working on Metroid Prime back in the day actually put their dev kit in a freezer while attempting to fix a particular issue that affected a small portion of GameCube owners.
Jack Mathews, a technical lead engineer that worked on the project, shared this story while reflecting on the 20th anniversary of the game. Nintendo had shipped a “bad batch” of GameCubes that affected the CPU, but it turns out that Metroid Prime was the only game that wasn’t working properly. Because of this, animated objects weren’t acting the way they normally would on any other console.
