Taito Milestones confirmed for English release in the west

ININ Games’ partnership with Taito continues, as the company today announced that it has plans to offer Taito Milestones for Switch in the west and in English.
Taito Milestones was first announced back in June. At the time, it had only been confirmed for Japan. This is the first time we’re hearing about a western launch for Taito Milestones, which will include full English support.

Red Art Games has just confirmed that not only will 2D action-exploration Metroidvania game Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth be seeing a physical release in Japan, but in North America and Europe as well. From their official twitter:

Unreleased Dune GBA game Elland: The Crystal Wars making a comeback

Twenty years after the project was scrapped, Elland: The Crystal Wars – a Dune title for the Game Boy Advance – is now making a return.
Work started on the title back in 2001. Unfortunately, the project was ultimately cancelled, and it never saw an official release. But John Roo and his business The Retro Room Games has now managed to secure rights to the unfinished game and intends to release it officially. It will ship as a proper GBA game, “complete with a case and manual and other goodies.”

Angry Video Game Nerd 1 & 2 Deluxe getting a physical release on Switch

Angry Video Game Nerd 1 & 2 Deluxe is seeing the physical treatment on Switch, publisher Screenwave Media has announced. It will be sold exclusively through the company’s store.
Angry Video Game Nerd 1 & 2 Deluxe first came to Switch in October 2020. Until now, it has only be offered digitally through the eShop.

Rockstar recently said that the first update for GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition would be released soon, and the company has followed through as version 1.02 is now live on Switch. It includes a ton of general fixes, along with specific fixes for all three games – III, Vice City, and San Andreas.

Nintendo sends out internal response to Activision Blizzard harassment reports

Last week, Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser issued an internal email to all levels of the company – including development partners such as Retro Studios and Next Level Games – regarding reports and controversies that have emerged pertaining to Activision Blizzard.
A lot has been coming through over the past few months regarding Activision Blizzard’s poor handling of its employees, particularly when it comes to sexual misconduct in the workplace. It all cumulated last week following a report from The Wall Street Journal. In its article, the publication wrote about Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick, who was aware of sexual harassment and misconduct that had been taking place within the company, intervened to protect abusers, and apparently even dished out his own abuse.
