Square Enix is celebrating the holidays and end of 2020 with a new Switch eShop sale. Fans can save on games in the Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Mana series, among others.

Civilization VI

Civilization VI was given its latest update today. It includes the new City-State picker, which lets you choose which City-States you would like to include in your next game and the Searchable Unit List, which will help you search and filter functions in the World Tracker panel to quickly find any unit on the map. There’s that plus lots of balancing, improvements, fixes, and more.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

If you’re a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, you can download the latest bonus for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo has started the distribution of Spirit Board Challenge Pack 7.

Bravely Default II

Square Enix and Pony Canyon have announced that the soundtrack for Bravely Default II will be released in Japan. It’ll be out a few days after the main game’s launch – March 3, 2021.

The Bravely Default II Original Soundtrack can be purchased as a standard item or first-print limited edition. The standard edition contains three CDs while the first-print limited edition has an extra CD. Pricing is set at 3,850 yen and 4,850 yen respectively.

We’ll share additional information about the soundtrack when additional information is provided later on, as well as details regarding import pre-orders.

Immortals Fenyx Rising

The Adventure Time collaboration for Immortals Fenyx Rising is extending beyond an animated trailer. Ubisoft today unveiled a Character Pack based on the show, and it’s out now.

The DLC features Finn’s outfit, a rainbow unicorn, and Jake as a companion.

Harvest Moon: One World

Natsume today issued a new trailer for Harvest Moon: One World. The latest details about the game were shared as well.

Roundguard

The roguelike puzzler Roundguard has received a new update. Version 1.2.0, known as “The Gift Giver” update, adds a snowy new event, treasures, and three new characters.

As we reported earlier this week, Olija is gearing up for release on January 28, 2021. A new trailer for the action-adventure game has now come in – see it below.

Olija will be distributed digitally for Switch via the eShop.

ININ Games, Studio Artdink, and Strictly Limited Games are going all out for the physical versions of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World. Aside from a standard release, three special editions are planned.

Here’s the rundown as to what’s included:

Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil 4 is on a ton of different platforms now, but that wasn’t always the case. Originally, it was created only for the GameCube. A big part of that was due to director Shinji Mikami.

Mikami signed an exclusive deal with Nintendo before Resident Evil 4’s launch. In an interview with Variety, he explained that the partnership came about due to concern for the gaming industry. Mikami had concerns that if the gaming endeavors from Sony’s PlayStation and Microsoft’s Xbox didn’t work out, “they might just go back to what they’re good at and what they’re known for.”
