80’s Overdrive on the way to Switch
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 0 comments
Some folks may remember 80’s Overdrive, a 2D pixel art racer that dropped on the 3DS eShop at the end of 2017. Switch was still fresh and the older portable was on its way out, so it may not have received the attention it should have. Insane Code is rectifying that by porting the game over to Nintendo’s latest console.
It’s unclear when exactly we’ll be seeing 80’s Overdrive on Switch, but it’s on track to arrive later in 2020. We have some details and a trailer from the original 3DS release below.

Despite being heavily rumored for a while, a Nintendo Switch port of Persona 5 never ended up happening. Instead, Persona 5 Royal, the updated re-release of the game, is out on the PS4 today. Developer Atlus sent out a survey to some players of the game, and one survey question in particular has sparked the interest of Persona fans. It asks “How interested would you be in purchasing Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers if it were to be released in the West?”.
Persona 5 Scramble, the sequel / spin-off to Persona 5, was recently released in Japan, and it included a Nintendo Switch version. So far, it hasn’t been officially announced for a Western release.

Nintendo’s North American online store not taking physical orders due to coronavirus, digital products still available
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
We’ve seen the coronavirus pandemic impact just about everything, including the gaming industry. Nintendo itself has been affected in various ways between the slowing of Switch production, sending its North American employees home for work, closing Nintendo NY, and more. Now you can add another item to the list.
At least for now, Nintendo’s North American online store is no longer accepting orders for physical products as its fulfillment centers are closed. If you do want to buy a digital game, that’s at least still an option.
A notice on the store page reads:
