A classic board game is joining the Switch eShop in about a month from now. Battleship is due out worldwide on July 24, Marmalade Game Studio announced today.

Pokemon GO Community Day to feature Mudkip in July 2019

Niantic has announced that Mudkip will be the next Pokemon featured for the latest Pokemon GO Community Day. The event itself will be held on July 21.
Just like with previous events, Mudkip will have an unspecified exclusive move. Other bonuses include 3x catch XP and 3-hour Lures.

God Eater 3 Switch demo out now in North America, footage

Japan isn’t the only region with access to God Eater 3’s new demo. Over in North America, the same trial can be downloaded. The demo is located on the official game page on the eShop.

Masahiro Sakurai on getting Banjo-Kazooie and Hero into Smash Bros. Ultimate

Smash Bros. Ultimate had two major announcements at E3 2019 earlier this month. Hero from Dragon Quest, alongside Banjo-Kazooie, will be added to the game as DLC characters. They’ll be available this summer and during the fall respectively.
In the magazine’s issue this week, director Masahiro Sakurai took to the latest issue of Famitsu and discussed the new announcements in greater depth. You can find our full translation below.

Remothered: Tormented Fathers was known to be coming to Switch at some point since last year. Interestingly, the game just received a stealth release on the Japanese eShop. The game can be purchased for 2,400 yen, and English is supported.

Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony issue join statement against US tariffs on China

Many technology companies aren’t in favor of new tariffs against Chinese goods that have been proposed by President Donald Trump and his administration. Apple has filed a public comment, as have Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony – under a joint statement.
The three companies say that 96 percent of video game consoles imported to the United States in 2018 were from China. If supply chains were to be moved, costs could be increased above and beyond inflated prices from tariffs. Developers could also be impacted by the lack of new consoles sold since they would be selling fewer games.
