After Satoru Iwata passed away in 2015, Tatsumi Kimishima was brought in as Nintendo’s global president. Kimishima’s primary role at the company will be ending soon, however. In its financial results today, Nintendo announced that Kimishima will be retiring as president.

Shuntaro Furukawa, 46, will be taking over for Kimishima. He joined Nintendo in 1994 and has worked in global marketing and at The Pokemon Company. Since 2016, Furukawa has been Nintendo’s Managing Executive Officer, Supervisor of Corporate Analysis & Administration Division and Director.

Kimishima will officially step down on June 28. According to Nikkei, he’ll remain with Nintendo as an adviser.

Fire Emblem Warriors has shipped one million copies, Koei Tecmo announced as part of its latest financial results today. That number accounts for sales worldwide. Switch and New 3DS are accounted for in the figure.

Three new content updates have started today in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

First, players can now participate in the Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt. After collecting enough gyroidite scattered across the map, you can use them to craft look-alike items. They are as follows:

Three Fourths Home: Extended Edition

Digerati has been bringing many different titles to Switch, and the streak continues with Three Fourths Home: Extended Edition. The Australian eShop has it down for May 10.

As the official description notes, “>Three Fourths Home: Extended Edition is an award-winning and critically acclaimed visual short story that explores the emotional ties of family relationships.” You’ll be playing as Kelly who driving home in a storm “through a stylized representation of rural Nebraska”.

The Pokemon Company has just released a Special Battle Video code to allow you to view a Zeraora battle and also have a mock battle.

Use the code: QKUW-WWWW-WWWL-J5TL in the Festival Plaza and then select “Search for a Battle Video” in order to acess this Special Battle Video against Zeraora.

Zeraora

The Pokemon Company has offered a new look at the Mythical Pokemon Zeraora. In the video below, you can see the creature’s signature move. Zeraora is capable of using Plasma Fist to devastate opponents.

Having previously released on mobile, Splitter Critters is now making its way to Switch. The Australian eShop indicates that the game will be out on May 15.

Despite being a mobile title originally, don’t sleep on Splitter Critters right away. It has actually received quite a bit of praise, and was nominated for “Mobile Game of the Year” at the DICE Awards.

ARMS Party Crash

Nintendo has announced the next ARMS Party Crash. Spring Man and Ninjara will be battling it out under the theme “Conflict of Interests”.

The new ARMS Party Crash kicks off on May 3. It should last until May 6, and we’ll have the results soon after it ends.
