Cult of the Lamb is the next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial

Original (10/24): Cult of the Lamb is getting the Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial treatment, it’s been announced.
Those that are currently a part of the service can play the full game entirely at no extra cost. The trial period will be held between October 25 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET until October 31 at 11:59 PM PT / November 1 at 2:59 AM ET.
Born of Bread release date set for December, new trailer

Thanks to Dear Villagers and WildArts Studio, we have a final release date for Born of Bread. The two sides confirmed today that the game launches for Switch on December 5, 2023.
Born of Bread, which has drawn comparisons to Paper Mario, was previously announced for Switch in March. The 2.5D adventure game with QTE turn-based combat did not have any sort of release window until today.

Spirittea release date set for November, new trailer

A final release date has just come in for Spirittea, the life sim inspired by Stardew Valley and other media like Spirited Away. Publisher No More Robots and developer Cheesemaster Games will be bringing it to Switch on November 13, 2023.
It’s been over a year since we last heard about Spirittea. The game was originally planned for 2022, but was delayed.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Reptar spotlight trailer

The Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 character spotlights continue on, and we now have a video for Reptar that also gives a closer look at his moveset.
Reptar can use fiery breath, powerful attacks, brutal chomps, and even ice skates. His strength and size are his upsides, though that’s offset by very slow speed – including slower attacks. A lot of Reptar’s moves take up some of his flame meter including his grounded and aerial upcharge attacks plus some of his specials, though it fills up with other attacks.
Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun release date set for November

With a new announcement from publisher Marvelous Europe and developer Nao Games, Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun now has a Switch release date. We’ll be seeing it on November 1, 2023.
Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun is an ultrafast roguelite inspired by Japanese folklore that was previously announced for Switch in 2022. Read more about it in the following overview:

Super Mario Bros. Wonder Elephant Mario plush heading to Japan, pre-orders open

If you just can’t get enough of Super Mario Bros. Wonder and the Elephant Mario transformation, you’ll be happy to hear that a brand new plush is on the way.
San-ei Boeki is behind the new product, which is on track for a debut in mid January 2024. For those that are curious, the plushie comes in at 26cm tall. The dimensions are W15 x D14 x H26cm and it’s made of polyester. Not much else has been said about the plush, but admittedly, there isn’t much else you need to know.

Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh getting limited edition, collector’s edition

Original (6/22): Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh was already confirmed for physical release on Switch, but Microids has now revealed a limited edition and collector’s edition.
With the limited edition, buyers will reeive a copy of the game, official steelbook, and three postcards. The collector’s edition features everything in the limited edition as well as a notebook, 160-page art book, and an original figurine.
Burning Force is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Switch

Hamster has announced Burning Force as the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch. A worldwide release is planned for October 26, 2023.
A shooter game released by Bandai Namco Entertainment in 1989, in Burning Force you can operate either an air bike or airplane as you progress through each stage to defeat the boss at the end. Along the way you can collect items to power up, and bypass obstacles using platforms.
Arcade Archives Burning Force will cost $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29 on the Switch eShop.
