Update (9/16): We now have the patch notes – attached past the break.

Original (9/14): It’s been a busy couple of days for software updates. Splatoon received a new patch last night, followed by an update for Metroid Prime: Federation Force / Blast Ball. Now Minecraft: Wii U Edition has been updated as well.

At the moment, we’re not quite sure what’s included in the patch, but it doesn’t include any major new modes or features. When we hear from 4J Studios, we’ll update this post.

The European Paper Mario: Color Splash website is now live. To access it, visit this page. You can view some game information, screenshots, and footage.

Speaking of footage, we’ve rounded up the various gameplay clips from the site. Watch it all below.

Capcom published its second post-launch developer blog for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice. The latest one can be read here.

The new entry has input from sound director Toshihiko Horiyama and Norihide Fuzii, who handled illustrations. Both share stories about working on the game, and there’s talk about how what they produced was localized.

Numerous users have reported that Nintendo of France’s website is listing the upcoming amiibo based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for March 4.

In a way, this is part-news, and part-rumor. There’s no question about the validity of the finding, but whether it can actually be trusted remains to be seen. March 4 would be a Saturday, but most Nintendo releases these days tend to take place on Fridays.

Some are also speculating about the possibility of NX and Zelda: Breath of the Wild itself launching on March 4. It might be too soon to believe that, especially when you again consider that March 4 falls on a Saturday. This is an interesting discovery, but one that might not pan out to be anything. Perhaps it’s just a placeholder – only time will tell.

Chase: Cold Case Investigations ~Distant Memories~ will launch in both North America and Europe on October 13, Aksys Games and Arc System Works announced today. Pricing is set at $5.99.

The adventure mystery game comes from the mind of Taisuke Kanasaki, director of Nintendo’s Hotel Dusk: Room 215. It follows the story of two detectives “whose sense of justice and raw instinct drive them to seek the truth.” Players will be asked to put their sleuthing skills to the test and re-investigate old crime scenes and solve cold cases by searching for clues and interrogating perpetrators.

Here’s a rundown of features:

It’s only been a few days since the last Pokemon GO update, but another patch is being issued very soon. Niantic has sent word that players should be on the lookout for version 1.7.1 (iOS) / 0.37.1 (Android).

Given the slight change in version numbers, this is unsurprisingly not a major update. It’s merely intended to fix some small issues with Pokemon GO Plus.
