Update (8/31): Now that Famitsu is out, it seems that Turbo OutRun is also included.

Original (8/30): Today, SEGA revealed, via Famitsu, the third SEGA 3D Classics Collection game for Nintendo 3DS, called “SEGA 3D Fukkoku Archives 3: Final Stage” in Japan. Like previous editions, this game will also feature several classic SEGA games remastered to work with the 3DS’ stereoscopic 3D, alongside various other improvements.

The following games, among others, will be included in the collection: After Burner II, Super Hang-On, Bare Kunckle II, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Gunstar Heroes.

Also included will be the most requested game from a survey that came with the previous game. Famitsu did not reveal that game, however they did reveal the games that placed fifth through second in that survey:

2. Virtua Racing

3. OutRunners

4. Gain Ground

5. Wing War

Finally, the game will also include the following games, which are already available on the 3DS eShop: 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2, 3D Afterburner II, 3D Streets of Rage 2, 3D Gunstar Heroes and 3D Super Hang-on.

Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives 3: Final Stage will be released in Japan on December 22nd. A Western release date has not yet been announced.

Going forward, Deep Silver is handling games from Atlus and SEGA and Europe. We had previously heard that 7th Dragon III Code: VFD and Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse had been confirmed for the region, but now we have slightly more specific launch windows. Both are arriving in Europe this winter.

As for 7th Dragon III Code: VFD, there’s additional good news on that front. Just like in North America, a special bonus art book will be included.

We’ve included a couple of trailers for the two titles below.

This week’s Famitsu scans are now available. Highlighted games include Megami Meguri, SEGA 3D Fukkoku Archives 3: Final Stage, Kunio-kun Nekketsu: Complete Famicom Compilation, Monster Hunter Stories, and Pokemon Sun/Moon. Scans of all titles can be found below.

It didn’t take long for Jools Watsham to announce a new game following the closure of Renegade Kid. At Atooi, Watsham is currently making Chicken Wiggle for the 3DS eShop and iOS.

Here’s an overview:

“The stars of Chicken Wiggle are an improbable duo: a young chicken and his best buddy – a wiggly worm – nestled in his backpack! Together, they team up for adventure to jump, peck, and worm-grapple across a myriad of perplexing platforming levels – full of fun gadgets, tricky hazards, and sneaky foes – determined to rescue their friends from the wicked witch in her sky towers.”

And a teaser:

A big aspect of Chicken Wiggle is the game’s level creator. Users can choose between various gameplay rules, art themes, and provide custom hints, tips, and search tags. Levels can then be shared with others through a community portal.

Chicken Wiggle will be released “soon.”

Quest of Dungeons has a final release date on Wii U. In both North America and Europe, it’ll be launching on September 29. Pricing is set at $8.99 / €8.99 / £7.99. Off-TV play, the Wii U Pro Controller, and a mixed setup with the mini-map and inventory on the GamePad are all supported.

As for the 3DS version, Upfall Studios has this to say:

“I still don’t have a locked release date, but it’s close, next time I talk about it, it will be to announce when. Coordinating both versions of the game (on both regions) for a simultaneous release turned out to be a bit trickier than anticipated to the small team (1 person) but I’m nearly there, just working on some last minute issues, and I think I’ll be able to release it close to the Wii U version. When I have the final release date I’ll let you know. It will be launched simultaneously on both regions as well.”

When the 3DS version is ready, cross-buy will be supported. You’ll only need to pay for one version as long as you’re using the same Nintendo Network ID.
