Nintendo and Mercedes-Benz have teamed up once again. Following their collaboration for Mario Kart 8, Mercedes-Benz has now made an Event Course – arriving today – that comes with a costume showing Mario in the driver’s seat. Players can download the Mercedes-Benz Jump’n’Drive course at no extra cost.

Head past the break to read up on today’s full announcement.

During the November Nintendo Direct, it was announced that a Smash Bros. presentation would be held sometime this month. Nintendo has now shared a date for the broadcast. You’ll be able to watch the presentation on December 15 at the following times:

– 2 PM PT
– 5 PM ET
– 10 PM in the UK
– 11 PM in Europe

Masahiro Sakurai will be in charge of the proceedings. He’ll talk about Cloud, but we should be hearing about the Fighter Ballot as well.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer tends to be very talkative with fans on Twitter. Yesterday, he made some interesting – if not unexpected – comments pertaining to Nintendo.

First, here’s what was said when asked if there will ever be anything from Nintendo on Xbox:

Spencer’s tweets continued by talking about a couple of other topics. First, he mentioned that he’s happy that Microsoft was able to work with Nintendo to get Minecraft on Wii U. Spencer also said that acquiring the rights to GoldenEye 007 has proven difficult, which had prevented a re-release on the Virtual Console and Xbox Live Arcade in the past.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition won’t let players manage their inventory by using the GamePad. Instead, the controller simply acts as an alternate screen for off-TV play. So says Mojang’s Owen Hill, who tweeted the following yesterday:

This really feels like something that would make Minecraft much, much better on Wii U. Hopefully the functionality will be considered for a future update.
