Update: False alarm – Rumor: Nintendo is developing its next gen handheld under the codename “MH”
Posted on 9 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 38 Comments
Update: This appears to be a false alarm. Here’s what Kantan Games CEO Dr. Serkan Toto says about the situation:
2) Such "rich" forward-looking analysis and also the wording is standard in investor notes. I know because I read *tons* of them ;).
— Dr. Serkan Toto (@serkantoto) May 24, 2016
About Nintendo's "MH": that is correct, unless Morgan Stanley has an incredible scoop – which I very much doubt. https://t.co/ATb1mWjW72
— Dr. Serkan Toto (@serkantoto) May 24, 2016
According to a financial report by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, a Japanese bank holding & financial services company, Nintendo is currently developing its next handheld under the codename “MH”. The report reveals no further information.
As always, take reports like this with a grain of salt. What we know for sure is that Nintendo is currently hard at work on the NX – but what exactly the NX is, that is still a mystery. Nintendo president Kimishima has previously stated that the NX would not be an outright replacement for the Wii U or the 3DS. There have been rumors that the NX could be a home console & handheld hybrid, but none of those have been confirmed yet.
We will have to wait until later this year for Nintendo to officially reveal the NX. Maybe we will also learn about the supposed “MH” handheld at that point.

Nintendo announces “Teddy Together” for 3DS
Posted on 9 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in 3DS, News | 31 Comments
Nintendo just announced Teddy Together, a new game for Nintendo 3DS aimed at young children. The game will be released on July 1st. Read the press release and check out some artwork below:
What child hasn’t dreamed of their favourite toy coming to life? That’s exactly what happens in Teddy Together, a new game joining the ever-growing catalogue of kid-favourite games like nintendogs + cats available on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, which includes the entry-level Nintendo 2DS system. Ideal for parents to play together with their young children as they’re developing their reading and interpersonal skills, Teddy Together will be available from 1st July.
The story begins when a teddy bear is delivered to the player’s house, along with a mysterious key. The magic starts when Teddy springs to life and starts to speak to the player! Children can give Teddy a name and enter their own name, creating an instant personal connection between the two new friends. From this point on, the tale of Teddy Together advances a bit each day as children learn more about the teddy’s purpose and the mysterious key, making it an ideal interactive bedtime story that parents and their young children can enjoy together.
This inquisitive little bear is particularly interested in learning more about friendship, and often asks the player questions like, “What do you do for fun?”, “How do you make friends?”, and “What’s your favourite food?”. Teddy will remember those answers and bring them up in conversation later on, forging a unique relationship between Teddy and the player, as the answers are always just between them*. Teddy’s cute reactions and encouraging personality are sure to bring a smile to any child’s face, which might even help them grow in confidence and self-esteem. Players can also introduce Teddy to their friends, who can give answers that Teddy will remember and even mention later on.
Teddy loves to eat too, so children can play fun minigames via the Touch Screen to prepare a range of meals, then feed Teddy. But be careful: sometimes the food will be too hot, and the player will have to blow into the microphone to cool it down! Teddy can be a bit of a messy eater at times, so a little light cleaning might be needed after a meal. Don’t worry: Teddy also loves to take baths, so is never dirty for long! Players can dress their teddy up too, with a big range of tops, hats, shoes, accessories and more, plus different fur colours to unlock too, making each player’s bear even more unique to them. Clothes, special lollies that unlock new fur colours, and seeds that can be planted in the garden are all purchased using coins, which are earned through playing or by tapping a compatible amiibo figure once a day.
The unique simulation game Teddy Together lets young children make friends with a teddy bear that comes to life, talking and asking questions to learn more about friendship. The game will be available for Nintendo 3DS family systems, including Nintendo 2DS which plays all Nintendo 3DS games in 2D, from 1st July 2016.

Pokémon Shuffle weekly update features Magmortar and more
Posted on 9 years ago by Jake in 3DS, Mobile, News | 0 comments
The usual Pokémon Shuffle update is upon us, and while there’s only one new stage, the repeat runs are still notable. Four stages have been added to both the mobile and 3DS versions, all of which run until June 7th.
First up is the Magmortar stage, which is new and lets you catch Magmortar. The Ash-Greninja stage makes a return, as well, where players will face off against Ash’s special Greninja from the anime. The legendary Kyogre also makes a return. Both of these stages let players earn Skill Boosters for their respective Pokémon once the Pokémon is captured. Finally, the Carnivine stage is returning. This stage is a Try ’em Items stage, which lets players try items out without using coins.
Good luck out there, champ in the making!

In comes Ron Gilbert, the designer/creator of Monkey Island as well as Maniac Mansion. On Twitter, he expressed interest in buying the Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion IPs.
He said:
Dear @Disney, now that you're not making games, please sell me my Monkey Island and Mansion Mansion IP. I'll pay real actual money for them.

3Souls video and details cover the game’s co-op mode
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Videos, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Indie developer Red Column is back with another update on its Wii U game 3Souls. Today’s video – posted below – gives us a look at co-op.
Here’s a breakdown of the new co-op mode:
This mode will be able to be activate it during the entire game. By doing so, you will add another player to get the control of the character (Nelesa in the first episode) and control her steps through the platforms with the Wii Remote or Pro Controller. The second player, will remain with the Wii U GamePad to stay in charge of the soul, informing of the thoughts and feeling of the character, and connecting to the portals of the world to be able to solve the puzzles of the game with the features of the Wii U GamePad.
This will be perfect for those who are not really good at platform and prefer the puzzles, or the other way around, sharing the experience of the game with a friend.
It will also show a different way of enjoy the game, forcing you to coordinate with the other player that knows the information on where you jump or where to go, information that you can only obtain on the Wii U GamePad.
Red Column hopes to have 3Souls’ first episode known as Nelesa out by the end of June or beginning of July. It’s already with Nintendo for lot check.
