Nihilumbra dev’s new game “Megamagic” could land on Wii U with Kickstarter funding

Earlier this year, BeautiFun Games brought Nihilumbra to the Wii U eShop. The studio has now set its sights on Kickstarter in hope of funding a new project: “Megamagic: Wizards of the Neon Age”.
Megamagic features a mixture of action RPG and real-time strategy gameplay. Throughout the adventure, players will have access to “a wide range of spells to learn and monsters to summon in order to beat the bad guys.” Its style also takes some inspiration from the ’80s.
Megamagic: Wizards of the Neon Age needs to raise $20,000 for funding by October 14. It was just confirmed today that there are plans for a Wii U stretch goal, though the amount has not yet been specified.

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash appears to be a $40 game
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 24 Comments
Nintendo has shipped a few Wii U games at $40 – notably Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker as well as Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. We may soon have another title with the same price point on our hands.
I didn’t make too much of it at the time, but retailer Newegg recently added a listing to its website for Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash. Consumers can reserve it for $39.99, which is supposedly $20 in savings. I’d wager that it’s instead the game’s final price point.
The Nintendo UK store also just put up its listing for Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash. It can be pre-ordered for £39.99, and since this is Nintendo’s store, that’s about as official as things get.
So although it’s not absolutely confirmed, $40 (£40 for our UK friends) is looking like Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash’s final price point. That’d probably go over much better than if it were $60!

There’s an invincibility glitch in Super Mario Maker
Posted on 9 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in Videos, Wii U | 1 Comment
The folks over at GameXplain found an invincibility glitch in Super Mario Maker. For the glitch to activate, you need to place a door on a set of spikes while ensuring that Mario has a second-tier powerup (Fire Flower, Propeller Hat etc.). You need to step on the spikes and enter the door during the period when Mario is invulnerable after taking damage. When you emerge from the other door, Mario can’t be damaged in any way. Check out the video below which demonstrates the glitch in greater detail:
