A version of Dragon Quest VII for Nintendo 3DS was announced last week. Despite being a port, the game will nonetheless feature some new story scenarios. Thanks to the newest issue of V Jump magazine, we now know that these new story scenarios will be called “Dhoulmagus’ Past” and “The Hero’s Childhood”. Dhoulmagus is the antagonist of DQ VIII, so a part of the story focusing on his past and motivations will be quite interesting.

Dragon Quest VIII will launch on Nintendo 3DS on August 27th in Japan. A Western release has not yet been announced.

Nexis Games have just announced that UCraft, their upcoming sandbox title, is now be a Wii U exclusive game and will not be released on other platforms. Here’s a statement from the developer:

“For the past 7 months I have given up my life and focused all of my time, money and energy solely on completing UCraft. During this time I feel that not only have I formed a bond with UCraft but also with the entire Nintendo Community. As a result of this new found kinship I have come to the conclusion that putting UCraft on anything other than Nintendo Platforms doesn’t feel right because UCraft was originally promised exclusively for the Wii U. I am not someone who goes back on their word so with that said, UCraft is and shall remain exclusive to Nintendo Platforms. The Nintendo Community (Our community) has deserved a quality Sandbox title to call our own for quite sometime and this holiday season we will finally have it! Welcome to the World of UCraft!

As always thank you all for your support and we hope you all have as much fun playing UCraft as we have had creating  it!”

About two months ago, Pokémon Shuffle players were given the chance to challenge Mega Lucario in a timed battle to rack up as many points as they could. If a player were to have a high enough score in their region, they would receive a Lucarionite that couldn’t be obtained by normal means. For those that missed out on the event or weren’t able to obtain it the first time around, now’s your chance for redemption!

The Mega Lucario challenge has returned and is once again giving players the chance to get their Lucarionite. As it was the first time around, you have to be ranked top in your region: 15k in Europe, 30k in North America, and 65k in Japan.

For those that already have the Lucarionite, you can still enter, but once the challenge is finished, you’ll receive two Jewels. For those that don’t get top in their region and don’t have a Lucarionite, you will get one Jewel.

Be sure to Check In and download the new 1.1.13 patch to gain access to the Mega Lucario challenge. This event runs until May 25th.
