Legend of Kay may have originally came out on the PlayStation 2, but the game also ended up on DS back in 2010. You can see how it stacks up to the just-released Anniversary version on Wii U in the video comparison below.

All things considered, last week’s sale of the Palutena amiibo on Amazon’s website went quite well. The figure’s availability lasted about an hour, so many consumers were able to get an order in.

There may be similar luck when Dark Pit goes on sale at Best Buy this Friday. We’re hearing that many stores in the United States will have roughly 50 units on hand, with some locations getting as many as 80. The lowest number seems to be at around 15 currently, but on the whole, Dark Pit should be relatively well-stocked.

The Japanese Splatoon Twitter account has continued sharing tidbits about the game’s imminent update. This time around, we have more information about how Private Battle work.

When playing in Private Battle, your points total and rank will not be affected. Additionally, it’s possible to set a password so that you have more control over who enters the lobby.

Below is a translation of the latest tweets:

Another addition to the impending large update are “Private Matches”, a mode where you can enjoy free play online with your friends.

The number of players can be between 2 and 8, with the rules, stage, and team organisation being set as you like.

Be aware that you won’t receive any points for playing in a Private Match, victories and defeats won’t affect your skill level or rank.

You can also set a password, so you can be a little more careful about which friends can and can’t join.

Update (7/29)

Bumped to the top. More details from Circle Entertainment:

– The game has already sold 5000 copies in North America in a “very short time”, appearing on the bestselling list.
– North American sales seem stronger than the equivalents for Japan – this is surprising as the genre and style is, from CIRCLE’s experience, typically better received in Japan.
– The response in Europe has also been “good”.
– The publisher was unable to arrange for the game to have its own promotional eShop shelf in North America, though better support has been forthcoming in Europe.
– Numbers are “encouraging”, and look on track to be better than for Adventure Bar Story.

Original (7/28)

Mercenaries Saga 2 launched on the North American 3DS eShop earlier this month. It also arrived in Europe last week.

Thus far, Circle Entertainment says that Mercenaries Saga 2 has achieved higher sales than expected. The company also pointed out the many positive comments on its Miiverse community.

Spicysoft brought two Bike Rider DX games to the 3DS eShop. It’s now looking like these same titles are making their way to Wii U.

In Nintendo’s latest financial report, a couple of Bike Rider games are listed for its console. “Bike Rider Ultra DX – Galaxy Tour” and “Bike Rider Ultra DX – World Tour” are mentioned in the report. We don’t have any details about how they’ll play on Wii U or when they’ll be available, sadly.
