A new report published by IDC and App Annie reveals that the 3DS shipped an additional 10 million pieces of software last year compared with the year prior, resulting in 30 million games sold in total. Across all handhelds, Pokemon X/Y, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon were the top three grossing titles.

3DS certainly performed well in 2013, but smartphones blew away all portable competition. 75 percent of 2013’s handheld share came from Android and iOS devices, according to the report.

As a whole, boxed and full-game digital spending on portable systems increased nine percent between 2012 and 2013.

US consumers were able to purchase Xenoblade for several months last year before it finally sold out once again. But what about Canada?

As it turns out, Video Games Plus just made an exclusive special purchase rebuild of Xenoblade Chronicles from Nintendo of Canada. Each copy is new and factory sealed.

Video Games Plus has Xenoblade available for purchase here. The price is a bit hefty coming in at $69.99 CAD, though the game has been a bit tougher to find as of late. Video Games Plus ships worldwide, but also ships all US parcels out of Niagara Falls in New York.
