Mighty No. 9 may be heavily inspired by the likes of Mega Man, but with the upcoming game, Keiji Inafune and his team hope to “betray the fans in a good way.” Inafune told Joystiq that they’re looking to try “something unexpected” and “different” while also “keeping that classic Japanese action that people are looking forward to.”

Inafune said:

“Although it has very many similar elements to past titles such as Mega Man, we’re trying to do something new with it. Something different, something that will, in a manner of speaking, betray the fans in a good way. Completely do something unexpected, as well as keeping that classic Japanese action that people are looking forward to.”

Inafune didn’t elaborate beyond this, unfortunately. Fans will simply need to stay tuned for more details, though thankfully, information is released regularly.

There have been a couple of trailers for Siesta Fiesta, but we haven’t heard much about the game actually plays – until now. GamesRadar put up a preview today with a number of details, and we’ve rounded them up below.

– Game will try to distract you with confetti, dancing bystanders, other effects
– Bounce the rotund boy Siesta from left to right
– Grab grapes, avoid point-draining explosions
– Move his bed to bounce him like Breakout
– Have 5 lives to make it through each stage
– 3 methods of control: classic paddle style, a cannon, or a powerful fan
– Each requires different kinds of finesse

A proper reveal for HullBreach Uncloaked is just on the horizon. Yesterday, HullBreach Studios announced on Twitter that it would be “pulling back the curtain” within the next two days. It’s Wednesday now, so I imagine we’ll be hearing something around tomorrow afternoon or so.

Thanks to Andrew for the tip.

Ubisoft has regained the rights to one of its main Watch Dogs trademarks in the US. Earlier this week, an abandonment request was filed, though the publisher said it was done so fraudulently. The USPTO accepted Ubisoft’s appeal and the trademark has been reinstated under Ubisoft’s control.
