Nintendo’s Cindy Gordon says the company can compete with Wii U

Nintendo’s vice president of corporate affairs, Cindy Gordon, has told Fox News that the company is “feeling really good about our ability to compete” with Wii U. Gordon believes Nintendo is offering the highest variety and value, and its console is the top choice for families this year.
Gordon’s comments in full:
“We’re feeling really good about our ability to compete. We’re standing apart offering variety and value. There’s no question that we are the best offering for families this year and that Nintendo is the best choice for family gaming.”

Japanese gamers respond positively to latest Nintendo Direct

What’d Japanese gamers think about the latest Nintendo Direct presentation? NicoNico shared some stats following the presentation earlier this week.
An overwhelming majority of viewers enjoyed yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, with 86% responding positively. 67% said it was very good, 19.3% said it was good, 6.8% said it was OK, 2.5% said it wasn’t so good, and 4.4% said it wasn’t good.

Wii U GamePad high-capacity battery out now on Nintendo’s online store

Wii U owners in the US can now purchase a high-capacity GamePad battery from Nintendo’s online store. Whereas the original controller battery lasts just 3-5 hours, the new one offers up to eight hours of use.
