Etrian Odyssey V infos – races, new classes, voice acting
Posted on 9 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in 3DS, News | 4 Comments
Earlier today we’ve learned about Etrian Odyssey V’s release date and we now have some additional info from Famitsu magazine (thanks to Gematsu for the translation; make sure to head over to their site to read the full article).
Perhaps most interestingly, for the first time ever you will not only be able to decide which gender and class your characters are, but also which race they belong to. The game is set in the world of Arcadia, where there are four dominant races: the Arslan (basically humans), the elf-like Lunaria, the Cerian who have beast/animal-like ears and finally the dwarf-like Brani.
As far as classes go, 10 have been confirmed so far – however, it seems like which class a character can be is determined by the above-mentioned races.
- Fencer (Arslan)
- Dragoon (Arslan)
- Cestus (Arslan)
- Reaper (Arslan)
- Necromancer (Lunaria)
- Warlock (Lunaria)
- Warrior (Cerian)
- Hound (Cerian)
- Herbalist (Brani)
- Shaman (Brani)
Other than that, the game will offer a great amount of freedom in terms of character customization – you change the color of a character’s hair, skin and eyes. Finally, you can choose a character’s voice as well (or choose to not use voices at all) – there’s a fairly extensive list of voice actors to choose from, including big names such as Akira Ishida and Yui Horie. . It seems unlikely that these would be included in an eventual international release, but you never know.

Tomodachi Life has sold 2 million copies across Europe
Posted on 9 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in 3DS, News | 2 Comments
Nintendo just sent out a tweet to announce that Tomodachi Life has sold an impressive 2 million times in Europe ever since it launched in June 2014. This is quite an impressive number for a game that isn’t attached to a popular franchise, and it’s not a huge surprise that Nintendo’s first upcoming mobile game, Miitomo, seems to be heavily inspired by Tomodachi Life.

Reminder: Celebi up for grabs in Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, X/Y via Nintendo Network

Here’s a quick reminder to all of the 3DS Pokemon players out there. The new distribution for Celebi is now live in Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, X, and Y. You can download the Pokemon via the Nintendo Network.
Obtaining Celebi is actually quite easy. Access the “Mystery Gift” option after booting up your game, and receive it through the Internet. You’ll then just need to talk to the delivery girl in any Pokemon Center and save.
Celebi will come in at level 100. It should be available through March 24.

Bravely Second’s European version always gives players a “good” ending with sidequests
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 72 Comments
Yet another notable change has been discovered within Bravely Second’s European version. With sidequests, whereas the Japanese release has players picking a side and seeing the consequences of their decision being played out, European copies result in a “good” ending regardless. There’s a little more on this in a forum thread here – just beware of some spoilers.
As far as other western changes go, it was reported earlier today that some character models have been modified. We’ve also known about a class change for quite some time as well.

Dubbed petting mini-game lines spotted within Fire Emblem Fates’ English release
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 18 Comments
It’s well documented at this point that Fire Emblem Fates’ western version does not have the main petting game included in the original Japanese release. At one point though, there may have been plans to leave it in.
Fans have come across some English dialogue that sounds like something which could have been used for the petting mini-game. You can have a listen here. The theory going around is that the mini-game was scrapped farther along during localization, while some are also hoping that the feature will make it into the European release. It might be an interesting discovery, but it’s one that doesn’t change the outcome of Fates’ North American localization.
