Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes review

System: Switch
Release Date: June 24, 2022
Developer: Koei Tecmo / Omega Force
Publisher: Nintendo

Warriors games have done exceptionally well at providing a strategic hack-and-slash experience, and Koei Tecmo has done a wonderful job at adapting many different properties into that format. In the case of Fire Emblem, it’s primarily been under the umbrella of strategy RPGs since its inception, but throughout the years we’ve seen it grow and become something more, turning into quite a deep experience. With so much to take into account when expanding on the Fire Emblem universe and given that Warriors games typically provide a straightforward experience, it’s incredible to see Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes essentially become a semi-sequel to Three Houses, as this is not just Fire Emblem Warriors 2, but genuinely feels like a brand-new Fire Emblem game where the battles are essentially replaced with Omega Force’s prowess in action-focused combat. Fire Emblem and Warriors titles both have a long history and have seen some fan favorites, yet marrying them together once more has created arguably one of the best games for both properties.

Publisher Chorus Worldwide and developer LCB Game Studio have prepared a launch trailer for Mothmen 1966. It provides another look at the title, which is the first visual novel in a series inspired by mid-20th century pulp fiction and ‘80s home computer graphics called “Pixel Pulps”.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Bowser

Ubisoft has worked with Mario on two games now as part of its Mario + Rabbids series, but we’ve been wondering if the team would have interest in playing around with another Nintendo franchise. This is something that we posed to producer Xavier Manzanares in a recent interview.

Manzanares said the studio has “tons of dreams”, and thought about “a lot of other characters” when it was initially moving towards working with Nintendo in 2014. On the topic of wishes being fulfilled, he said having Bowser playable in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is “already a dream come true for us”.

pokemon scarlet violet leaks

The Pokemon series is no stranger to pre-release information leaks, and something similar may now be happening with Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. Although the titles are still a few months out, unconfirmed details have been popping up over the past few days.

The source seems to have originated from a Chinese leaker, and Twitter outlets like CentroLeaks and Pkmnleak have been rounding up the information. Tidbits cover new Pokemon, which creatures are / aren’t returning, the Pokedex, a new gimmick, and more.
