Nintendo Switch Sports debuts in Japan with nearly 200,000 copies sold, Switch outsells 3DS

The usual Japanese sales data that we typically see on Thursdays has been delayed due to holidays this week (Golden Week), but we do have a bit of news about how Nintendo Switch Sports debuted in Japan.
Early data has revealed that the game sold 190,000 copies. It goes without saying that it was the best-selling title in Japan last week.

Pikmin Bloom – Community Day coming May 21

The next Community Day has been announced for Pikmin Bloom, and it will be coming on May 21, 2022. During this day, players can expect these special bonuses while playing:
- Big Flowers will bloom into roses when you plant regular blue, red, yellow, or white petals around them
- Players achieving the 10,000 step goal on this day will be awarded a special Rose Flower Badge
- Seedlings in your planter pack will grow at 1.5x the usual speed (and more, if you’re flower planting!)
- Receive 1 bonus coin per 250 flowers planted instead of the usual 500 (capped at 60 coins/day)
Also, players can obtain special fruits that hold rose nectar after every challenge they complete. For more information check the official blog.

Dying Light update out now on Switch (version 1.0.4), patch notes

Another update has gone live for the Switch version of Dying Light, with Techland issuing version 1.0.4. It includes tweaks, improvements, and new features.
Performance has been further enhanced, and HD Rumble is now better supported. That’s along with an updated Hellraid dungeon and Tolga & Fatin event.
Arcade, skill based game Surface Rush heading to Switch

The Big Con: Grift of the Year Edition gets release date on Switch

The Big Con: Grift of the Year Edition was announced for Switch last month, and a release date has now come in. Today, publisher Skybound Games and developer Mighty Yell announced that the ’90s teenage crime adventure will be available on June 1, 2022.
As previously mentioned, The Big Con is adding a Rad Ghost arcade game, additional comedic characters, and new collectables for its Switch release. It’s estimated that over two hours of all-new content will be included.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War, which just released on Switch not too long ago, has received new content in the form of a free Horde Map and Ragnarök Campaign & Character Pack.
The “Death Collector” can be accessed by all players for free. This is being made available as part of a free update.

Lunistice, a PS1 / SEGA Saturn-inspired 3D platformer, announced for Switch

Publisher Deck13 and developer Deck13 today announced that Lunistice, a 3D platformer with an art style inspired by original PlayStation and SEGA Saturn titles, is on the way for Switch. It already has a confirmed release date of September 2, 2022.
In the game, players will take on the role of Hana the Tanuki. You’ll jump and fight through her dreams, with the moon being her final destination. There’ll be a total of seven different dreams to explore. Speedrun Mode will be included, and it’ll be possible to play as characters from other games.
