Miitopia

Nintendo is putting the 3DS game Miitopia on Switch, the company revealed during a Nintendo Direct presentation. The new Switch version will launch on May 21.

Miitopia first made it to 3DS in Japan at the end of 2016 and the rest of the world in July 2017. There will be some new additions for the Switch edition.

Legend of Mana

Following up on the success of last year’s Trials of Mana, Square Enix is again revisiting a past entry in the series with Legend of Mana. A remaster of the original action RPG was announced for Switch during today’s Nintendo Direct. You’ll be able to turn off enemy encounters, play a new mini-game, and more.

Legend of Mana originally debuted on the PlayStation back in 1999 in Japan, followed by 2000 in the west. This will be the game’s first appearance on a Nintendo platform.

Switch owners can get their hands on Legend of Mana starting June 24.

Samurai Warriors 5

Samurai Warriors 5 is in development for Switch, Koei Tecmo and Omega Force announced during today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast. A release is planned for this summer.

Samurai Warriors 5 is the latest addition to the hack and slash franchise. The previous entry in the franchise Samurai Warriors 4, came out in 2014. Samurai Warriors 5 marks a return of the series to Nintendo platforms.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

Devolver Digital and Mediatonic’s popular massively multiplayer party game Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is coming to Switch, the two sides revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation.

During today’s ongoing Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo shared the latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate news. The broadcast announced that Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are joining the game.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be unveiling and releasing two more characters later in 2021 as part of Fighters Pass Vol. 2. Min Min, Steve & Alex, and Sephiroth are already available through the season pass. Fighters Pass Vol. 1 featured Joker, Hero, Banjo & Kazooie, Terry, and Byleth.

A new Nintendo Direct will be airing not too long from now – it’ll be the first general presentation since September 2019. The fun begins at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM in the UK / 11 PM in Europe.

Anodyne 2: Return To Dust

Anodyne 2: Return to Dust, a lo-fi 2D and 3D adventure game, lands on Switch tomorrow. Take a look at some footage below.

Psydra Games is putting the Metroidvania-style platformer Mike Dies on Switch next week, the developer has announced. It’ll be launching on February 25.

Island

Island, a visual novel first released in 2016, was confirmed for Switch earlier this month. That news came in from Famitsu, which had news about the title for Japan.

We’re not quite sure yet what Prototype’s plans are for the west. That being said, English text is confirmed thanks to the official website. Even if Island stays in Japan, you should be able to purchase the game from the Japanese Switch eShop and finish up a playthrough without any issues.

Island will arrive for Switch in Japan on April 8. We’ll let you know if there’s any news for the west.

Neowiz and Mad Mimic are bringing Dandy Ace to Switch, the two sides announced today. The fast-paced roguelite action game will arrive on Nintendo’s console this spring.
