Eiyuden Chronicle

Eiyuden Chronicle will be launching on Kickstarter next week. The game comes from Rabbit & Bear Studios, which includes staff members behind Suikoden and more. For those curious about what the plan is as far as supporting Nintendo is concerned, we received clarification straight from the developer.

The initial goal for Eiyuden Chronicle will be for PC. However, a console stretch goal will be visible on the official Kickstarter page, which will list “Nintendo next-generation”.

Roundguard

Publisher The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild and Wonderbelly Games have announced new content for Roundguard. Coming in the form of the Treasure Hunter Update, the Peggle-inspired roguelike is adding two new game modes, a new enemy, and more unlockable rewards today.

Here’s a full rundown regarding what’s new:

Epic Mickey

Epic Mickey has turned into a cult classic of sorts after its initial debut on Wii a decade ago. Now we have some unused material from the game, as Jim Dooley uploaded an unused music track online. You can listen to the tune below, which is titled “Outro Black Pete”.

Epic Mickey originally came to Wii in November 2010. A sequel followed two years later, which also landed on Wii U.

Grisaia: Phantom Trigger Vol. 3

The visual novel Grisaia: Phantom Trigger Vol. 3 joined the Switch eShop earlier this week. For a look at some footage, check out the video below.

Balan Wonderworld

After announcing the 3D action-platformer Balan Wonderworld yesterday, Square Enix has put out a Switch-specific trailer. It largely features the same scenes from the original video, but there are subtle changes to the visuals. A comparison video will likely appear in due time, but for now, watch the Switch trailer below.

Pokemon logo

As part of today’s big Nintendo leak, it’s been revealed that iQue proposed a mainline Pokemon game for PC that would have offered extensive online features.

The PowerPoint presentation is dated from November 2004. In it, we hear about plans for trading, battling, and chatting online as well as an online tournament mode, treasure hunting, and even the ability to use the Game Boy Advance as a controller.


Merchant of the Skies, a game featuring trading, base-building, and tycoon elements will soon be on Switch. An eShop listing shows that the title will launch on July 30.

CastleStorm II

Castlestorm II was previously announced to be launching on July 31. That will no longer be happening, as Zen Studios announced today that it’s been pushed back to this fall.

“The decision to delay was made with the intention of making sure Castlestorm II is up to the standards of the team as they look forward to delivering an exciting sequel to the 4X mashup series,” the company said.

We’ll bring you the new release date for Castlestorm II when we have it.

Old School Musical

Super Rare Games today announced Old School Musical as its latest physical release. Only 4,000 copies will be produced worldwide. It’ll come with a full color manual, interior artwork, exclusive sticker, as well as three trading cards randomly selected from the five-card set. Note that all previously-released DLC will also be on the cartridge, including Chicken Party Mix, Toricity, and even the recent MV Expo song pack.

Pre-orders open on July 30 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM in the UK. It’ll be available through Super Rare Games’ store here.
