Together! The Battle Cats

Slated for this winter in Japan, Together! The Battle Cats has been given a final release date in the latest issue of CoroCoro. The magazine confirms that the game will launch digitally on the Switch eShop on December 20. It’ll cost 999 yen.

Together! The Battle Cats has not been announced for the west at this time. However, it’s worth noting that The Battle Cats POP! – a 3DS title – did head west a few years ago.

This weekend, Nintendo is planning a new worldwide Splatfest for Splatoon 2. Players all around the world can participate in a Smash Bros.-themed event. Nintendo is asking fans if they prefer heroes or villains this time around.

Dragalia Lost

A new Summon Showcase: Dragon Special has just begun. Between now and December 16 the appearance rate of featured 4★ and 5★ dragons is increased. The featured dragons are:

  • Cerberus
  • Leviathan
  • Jeanne d’Arc

To celebrate the winter season Pocket Camp has added a few ways to customize your terrain into “a winter wonderland with trees glittering with lights and a sparkling sheet of snow on the ground!”

The additions include a snowscape background, middle ground, and foreground. You can use Leaf Tickets to purchase them in the app.

To accompany the start of Bound Hero Battle: Ike & Soren, three heroes are now part of a 5★ summoning focus. They are:

  • Ike: Young Mercenary
  • Soren: Shrewd Strategist
  • Elincia: Lost Princess

Metal Slug 5 will be made available on Switch as the console’s latest NeoGeo game, Hamster has announced. The company will also be bringing out Athena as an arcade title as previously confirmed.

Famitsu has published an official report on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s debut sales in Japan. In just three days, the game sold 1,238,358 copies. Digital sales are not included, but units from physical download cards are.

As expected, Smash Bros. Ultimate provided a huge boost to Switch hardware sales last week. Famitsu reports that the system moved 278,313 units. The previous week, Media Create had Switch at 120,546 units sold.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate had the best debut for the franchise in Japan, beating out the openings for all previous entries.

Pokemon GO

Pokemon GO’s latest update is now available. On iOS, the new version is 1.99.1. Android users can download version 0.131.1.

The full patch notes are as follows:

Nintendo will be kicking off a special Spirit Board event in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate later this week. As pictured in the image above, it’ll carry a glasses theme. You’ll have a better opportunity to obtain Spirits who wear glasses when live.

The event begins December 14 at 3 PM Japan time, lasting for three days. Assuming it goes live worldwide at the same time, the start time should translate to:
