Super Mario Run hosting spotlight event with Luigi

Super Mario Run has kicked off its latest character-specific event. Starting today and lasting until July 2, the items you can receive from Remix 10’s Super Bonus Game will all be related to him.

Cube Creator 3D version 1.2 is finally live

Big John Games had been working on a big update for Cube Creator 3D for quite some time. After a few setbacks and delays, the patch has finally gone live in North America.
Players will be able to access several new features once the update is applied, including two-player local multiplayer. We have the full rundown on what’s been added below.

ARMS Party Crash #12 announced

Nintendo has revealed the next Party Crash for ARMS. Next week, Min Min and Kid Cobra will be featured in the latest event. The theme is simply “Serpents”.
ARMS Party Crash goes live on July 6. The event will last until July 9, and we’ll have the results soon after it ends.

Agatha Knife update out now (version 1.0.3)

The latest update for Agatha Knife is now available. Version 1.0.3 began distribution this week.
According to developer Mango Protocol, the team has “improved the overall game performance and game save management.” Also addressed is “a character navigation problem and a few sequence management issues.”
Agatha Knife can be found on Switch through the eShop.

Nintendo on why 3DS was absent from this year’s E3

Nintendo made it clear early on that its E3 Nintendo Direct would only feature Switch titles. However, there was always the possibility that some 3DS games could be shown off during the Treehouse Live stream or featured at its booth. In the end, the entire show was about Switch – 3DS was nowhere to be seen at all.
Doug Bowser, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Nintendo of America, spoke about the decision to have the focus on Switch titles – and not 3DS – in an interview with Club Nintendo. He explained:

New Nintendo president Furukawa: “considering various possibilities” for 3DS successor

Shuntaro Furukawa was named Nintendo’s newest president this week. Following the company’s 78th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Kyoto Shimbun caught up with the executive to discuss a number of topics.
First, Furukawa commented on the Nintendo’s objectives. He stated, “In order to make smartphone games a pillar of our company’s income, reaching at least 100 billion yen is a must.”
