Update: Seems there is a slight delay. Should be live 15 minutes later than originally scheduled.
The NIS America Press Event 2018 is beginning not too long from now. We can expect the presentation to kick off at 6:30 PM PT / 9:30 PM ET / 2:30 AM in the UK / 3:30 AM in the UK.
You can watch the event as it happens below. There should be quite a bit of Switch-related news, which we’ll bring you throughout the night.

Splatoon 2 – North American Splatfest #7 announced for next weekend

North America will be catching up with the rest of the world with its own seventh Splatfest in Splatoon 2 next weekend. The theme? Money vs. love.
The Splatfest kicks off on February 16 at 9 PM PT / February 17 at 12 AM ET. It’ll last for a full day, and we’ll have the results soon after.

Legend of Kay Anniversary Switch boxart, pre-orders open, pricing

Yesterday, THQ Nordic announced Legend of Kay Anniversary for Switch. Retailers are now starting to follow up on that by opening pre-orders. Currently, you can reserve the game at Amazon here.
Amazon’s listing contains the boxart and pricing information for Legend of Kay Anniversary. On Switch, at launch, it’ll be priced at $29.99.
New set of Switch accessories are miniaturized game cases, will let you store cartridges

Max Limited has come up with a new way for Switch owners to store their game cartridges. A series of miniaturized cases are in the works, based on their original boxarts.
Designs based on Splatoon, ARMS, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario Odyssey, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild are planned. Each one is 1/3 scale and can hold a single cartridge. They can also act as keychains.
Max Factory intends to release the Nintendo Switch Dedicated Card Pocket Minis in April. Pricing is currently set at 648 yen each.

Doom getting a new patch on Switch this month, various improvements planned

Three months after its initial launch, Doom is receiving a new patch on Switch. Bethesda shared the news on Twitter just a few minutes ago.
The new patch will make a number of improvements. Audio issues, menu fixes, and more will be included in the update. Full patch notes will be coming leading up to release this month.

Nintendo to distribute Dark Souls: Remastered at retail in Europe

Nintendo has worked with a few third-parties in the past to distribute their games at retail in Europe. Previous examples of this on Switch include Doom, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and the German title Schlag den Star.
Next up will be Dark Souls: Remastered. At retail, Nintendo will behind the game’s distribution on Switch. We don’t have the specifics on the deal, but the game will at least have pricing parity with other platforms at €39.99.
