Exploit in Switch 5.0 firmware update lets you access Twitter & Facebook feeds on your Switch
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in News, Switch | 0 comments
The latest Switch firmware update, 5.0, has just been released. Among other things, it expanded the friend suggestion feature, now letting you add friends from Facebook and Twitter if you link your Nintendo Account to your account on these social media platforms. However, an exploit lets you do more than that – it lets you access your actual feeds on both platforms.
This exploit was found by user PariahMentality on Twitter and reported by GameXplain in their latest video. When going through the steps to link your Nintendo Account to your Facebook or Twitter account, you will eventually be taken to a page where you have to agree to authorize an app called “Nintendo Switch Friends” to use your Facebook or Twitter account. Instead of clicking on agree, click on the Facebook or Twitter icon on that page, and it will take you to your Facebook or Twitter feed – specifically, the mobile browser version of them. You can then use pretty much all of the features of the respective sites. This is all happening using the Switch’s internal internet browser, which is also normally unaccessible through regular means.
It’s possible that Nintendo will release a patch soon that prevents this exploit, so if you want to try it out, better do it quickly.
Japan: Get Lugia with its Hidden Ability & Hurricane when pre-booking tickets for the new Pokemon movie
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
A new Pokemon movie in Japan always means some tie-in promotions with the current games, and this time will be no different, as the latest issue of CoroCoro magazine reveals. The latest Pokemon movie, titled “Everyone’s Story”, will be released in Japan on July 13th. The Legendary Pokemon its story focuses on is Lugia, and as such, Lugia will be distributed via a serial code if you pre-book tickets for the movie between April 13th and July 12th. Codes will be valid until September 30th and can be redeemed in Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
This Lugia has its Hidden Ability, Multiscale, and comes with the moves Aeroblast, Defog, Tailwind and Hurricane, a move it can’t learn normally. Lugia will be at level 100.
It’s currently unknown whether or not this Lugia will also be distributed outside Japan in some form.
Lode Runner Legacy coming to the Switch eShop in Japan this Spring

The latest entry in the action puzzler series Lode Runner, Lode Runner Legacy, is coming to the Switch. The game will be available on the Japanese eShop sometime this Spring; it will cost 1,112 Yen. So far we only know of the game’s Japanese release, but an English version of it already exists on PC, so a Western release wouldn’t be surprising at all.

Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Just a short while ago, Nintendo began distributing a brand new system update for Switch – version 5.0.0. As part of that, the Joy-Con themselves have also received an update. Unfortunately though, we’re not quite sure what it does.
You can update your Joy-Con by visiting the system settings. Head on over to the “Controllers and Sensors” tab, and navigate to “Update Controllers”. The left and right Joy-Con will then be updated individually.
Thanks to all who sent this in.

All-Star Fruit Racing rated for Switch in Brazil
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 0 comments
All-Star Fruit Racing might be in development for Switch. Earlier this month, it was rated for release in Brazil. PQube will apparently be publishing, and as they’ve given quite a bit of support to Switch thus far, putting All-Star Fruit Racing on the system would make sense.
If the name didn’t give it away, All-Star Fruit Racing is a karting title. The game has single-player and multiplayer modes, including online multiplayer.
Here’s some additional information and a trailer:
