Japan getting an Etrian Odyssey V demo later this month

Japanese 3DS owners will be able to try out Etrian Odyssey V before it arrives in August. A demo has been confirmed for July 20.
Details on the demo itself have not been made known just yet. However, we do know that data can be transferred to the full game. That includes characters, levels, skills, and items.
Etrian Odyssey V can also be pre-loaded from the eShop starting on July 20.

Nintendo hosting “The Summer of Splat” in the UK – The Great British Splat-Off tournaments and more

Nintendo has announced “The Summer of Splat” – a new celebration for Splatoon in the UK.
The Summer of Splat is intended to bring kids and squids together over the course of four weekends to partake in The Great British Splat-Off. These online tournaments will allow players to “show off their style, seek to cover the most territory and ultimately prove what they are made of.”
Three different leagues will be online (sign ups here), all of which requires teams of four:
Squid Kid League: For younger players – Turf War game mode only
Inkling League: Beginner/casual players – Turf War game mode only
Octo League: Open to all ages and levels – More challenging featuring all game modes

The Miitomo interview with Yoshio Sakamoto and Shigesato Itoi has been updated and completed, with Part 6 available to read here. The two discuss how the different people might react to the game at different times, and the challenges of dealing with a game that might get personal with players when they don’t want it to do so.

Splatoon version 2.10.0 now live

Update: The patch has been completed and servers are back online. It is also confirmed to have fixed the invisible player glitch.

Another update to Splatoon, upgrading it to version 2.10.0, is happening right now. The patch is undoubtedly to resolve the invisible squid glitch that came in version 2.9.0. Until the patch is completed, servers will be offline, but we’ll update once patching is complete.

Over 80 years have passed since the terrible events of the year 2020, where Tokyo was left severely dilapidated by the vicious attacks of Dragons. To some, it is just a legend, seeing as there weren’t very many survivors. But to others, it is a very serious issue in which an organization known as ISDF want to prevent future attacks, as well as travel through time with the help of some trainees who win a Dragon-hunting simulation contest to put a stop to these monsters for good. Miitomo – new items and Miitomo Drop stage (7/7/16)

Miitomo has received a couple of new updates. New items are out now in Miitomo Shop, and there is an additional stage in Miitomo Drop.
First, here’s the lineup of new items:
– Nautical cap
– Shirt w/ sailor scarf
– Socks w/ anchor design
– Tricolor marine sandals
– Life preserver
– Diving helmet
– Diving suit
The “Making a splash! Critters of the Deep #1” stage has also been added to Miitomo Drop. They’ll provide you with the following:
– Mermaid top (set)
– Mermaid tail (set)
– Whale suit
– Starfish hairpin

Super Mario Maker – Callie and Marie costumes, new Event Course now live

Super Mario Maker has added two new costumes. Players can nab both Callie and Marie from Super Mario Maker after completing the “Squid Sisters vs. Bloopers” Event Course twice.
Here’s an overview of the level:
“Urgent report from the Squid Research Lab! The Squid Sisters have been spotted in the world of Super Mario Maker, and the local squids don’t seem to be giving them a very warm welcome! It’s up to Callie and Marie to show those Blooper bullies that the new squids on the block aren’t about to be messed with. May the freshest squid win!”
