North American Fire Emblem Fates teaser site open

Nintendo has opened a teaser site for Fire Emblem Fates. Head on over here to visit the page, which currently has a trailer, some screenshots, and information about the game. The full site should open a bit closer to launch.

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam devs on bringing in Paper Mario, dash mechanic, more

A few members of the Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam development team were interviewed in this month’s issue of Nintendo Dream. The lineup includes producer Akira Otani (Nintendo), director Shunsuke Kobayashi (AlphaDream), and director of battle team Jun Iwasaki (AlphaDream).
We’ve translated some excerpts from the interview after the break. The staff commented on how it was decided that Paper Mario would appear, the new dash mechanic (and Shigeru Miyamoto signing off on it!), and more. Read on below for the full breakdown.
Splatoon – European Splatfest #9 results

The results are in for the latest European Splatfest in Splatoon. For this topic, players were asked if they’d rather be fit or rich.
Popularity and wins were close on both sides. Money had a slightly higher percentage of votes (56 percent versus 44 percent), but fitness saw more wins (53 percent vs. 47 percent). That ultimately led fitness to a win with 362 points.

Chasing Dead tentatively slated for March

2020Venture’s upcoming Wii U eShop shooter now has a tentative release month. Assuming all goes as planned, Chasing Dead will be available on March 3. New videos should be coming soon.
Chasing Dead is an action shooter comprised of horror and sci-fi themed elements. It tells the tale of a post-apocalyptic version of Earth that has turned humans into mutants and zombies.

The Minotaur heading to the Wii U eShop

The Minotaur is in development for Wii U (and PC), Ratalaika Games has announced. This is an action-puzzle game in which players need to kill minotaurs by moving blocks or crushing/enclosing them.
The Minotaur will feature the following modes in addition to classic single-player:
– Challenge Mode: There will be maps in which the player will need to kill the minotaurs respecting some parameters, reduced number of blocks, or movements for example.
– Co-op mode (Local): This mode actually exists in the original game, but we have also taken our version. We could also play with a friend in local mode to kill the minotaurs.
– VS Mode (Local): A player will control the minotaur while another control the human, they have to kill each other.
Along with the modes above, an online mode is said to be in consideration.
